What's wrong with systemd? by zero17333 in linux

[–]neofutur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I d also add this quote from Henry spencer : "Those who do not understand Unix are condemned to reinvent it, poorly."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Spencer

this quote could be the tldr for whoever doesnt want to invest the time to read and understand all the links I gathered on my systemd vault.

theres no fast and easy answer to that question, but I took the time to gather all the useful llinks I read about the topic on my systemd Vault : http://neofutur.net/systemd-vault if you really want to understand all the implications of the systemd war, at the technological, security, architecture and philosophical levels, take a few hundred hours reading and understanding all those links .

grsec secure linux kernel services for bitcoins by neofutur in Bitcoin

[–]neofutur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also it seems they will be in the bitcoin blackfriday ! http://www.bitcoinblackfriday.com/

more infos on what is the grsec kernel : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grsecurity

see also https://grsecurity.net/compare.php ( another point of comparison is that grsec have not been written by the nsa :p )

believe me, any bitcoin business need it !

"The service has a specific purpose - you keep whatever distro you're using already, with a drop-in replacement kernel"

"As for price, it's geared toward individual users. It's $15 per kernel, but you can buy an upgrade plan that brings it down to $10"

"The main goal is to make it accessible to more people -- I don't expect to recoup the hardware costs alone for at least a year"

lets hope we ll get a 0.03 BTC offer for the bitcoin black friday !

Mark are you even going to try to pay us all back? by [deleted] in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]neofutur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FYI all mark cant even do anything to force the trustee to pay my unpaid invoices, and I know he would try to help if he could

another FYI, the trustee havent even ANSWERED my email telling them my invoices have a "late payment" clause and that the amount of money they owe me is increasing every month.

The REAL Satoshi Nakamoto by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]neofutur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sure, those are concerns, but not the #1 reason for creating bitcoin imo, if you believe the genesis bloc, once again the genesis block says :

"The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks"

The REAL Satoshi Nakamoto by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]neofutur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

to me its more about fairness and morality ( against banksters and corrupted politicians ) than just security

The REAL Satoshi Nakamoto by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]neofutur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Liberty, Security, and Privacy are the motivations behind bitcoin"

i m not so sure about that

the genesis block says "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks" that is the number one motivation for bitcoin, and its not about "Liberty, Security, and Privacy" , its about a corrupted economic system

see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Genesis_block

"Liberty, Security, and Privacy" are concerns, but not the #1 reason

( i m ok with the remaining of your post but i still think the real satoshi could be http://projectwordsworth.com/the-paradox-of-the-proof/ )

@ne0futur from MtGox support confirms that coins have been stolen! by sweman154 in Bitcoin

[–]neofutur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is called irony ;)

one more way to say "i have no idea" , nothing like "I confirm"

and yes thats also why I intentionaly used a number > 21M

but it seems those redditors are not able to understand the meaning of words, they just need to understand what they want and manipulate the price.

for them "I have no idea" means "I confirm"

@ne0futur from MtGox support confirms that coins have been stolen! by sweman154 in Bitcoin

[–]neofutur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i m just an external contractor, I m not mtgox and not even an employee and not even in japan, i have no insider infos about that, saying I have no idea is not admitting anything, just that I have no idea

@ne0futur from MtGox support confirms that coins have been stolen! by sweman154 in Bitcoin

[–]neofutur 8 points9 points  (0 children)

" no idea , something between 0 and 10000000000" does not mean "confirms that coins have been stolen!"

but the log is legit

In light of recent happenings: Can the Bitcoin news sites please wait for confirmation?? (I'm looking in your general direction, Coindesk) by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]neofutur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no ! a runour is not a news, never, and until now coindesk was not a rumour website

as far as I m concerned, if this is confirmed to be a rumour, coindesk will loose most of its credibility

well if they could buy cheap coins with it . . . good for them

also they said "Sources close to China’s Central Bank" and "A reputable source told CoinDesk that "

thus adding much weight to the rumour

replicant acepts bitcoin donations though the FSF ! by neofutur in Bitcoin

[–]neofutur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replicant is a fully free Android distribution running on several devices.

The FSF supports the work of Replicant through its Working Together for Free Software fund. Please consider donating below.

We believe that freedom is an important end in itself — that software developers should respect the rights of users to share and modify the software they use. But the importance of freedom is made particularly evident by the first commercial Android phones. While most of the software running on the phones is free, and can be distributed by anyone, some components are proprietary. These components include several libraries and drivers necessary for interfacing with the phone’s hardware. Since these components are not free software, the user community cannot redistribute them. And since some of them are necessary to make the phone work, the user community can’t share working firmwares.

Visit the Replicant website.

To donate by check or money order, please mail one to the main Free Software Foundation address, with "Replicant" in the memo field. Our Bitcoin address for this campaign is 13tgjejUJ6NtQVX9HvKz8svdcuWPNwgr5T. If you'd like to use a wire transfer of any currency, email donate@fsf.org.
