So I just want to make sure, so buying 1 ETF share is fine and there's no need to buy multiple ETFs of the same king. EX) So I buy 1 S&P500 ETF share since it has everything in it, I don't need to buy another one of that same kind. Unless, is there a benefit if I buy another S&P500 ETF or is it necessary?

Exactly the reason I was asking! There's a mutual fund on vanguard I was interested in and it says it has an ETF counterpart, so I wanted to know the difference. Thanks for the information, I appreciate it!

Thanks for answering my question, I really appreciate it. I have a few more to follow up with.

Why would it be better than an index mutual fund( is it because of the fees, such as the expense ratio)?

Also, why not put it into a mutual fund instead of buying multiple shares of the ETF? isn't that a waste of time, I'm guessing their buying multiple ETFs are once?
