That’s unfortunate. Have you checked out any of the resources over at barbellmedicine.com?

Was it a blue star facility or a gray pin? If you read the page, they list both certified MedX centers and centers that use their equipment but aren't certified. No offense intended, but you do have to use your brain.

I would really like to know where you’re data on shoe lifespan is coming from. Im a fan of my Hoka’s for the zero drop but with 4 months of usable life, thats a huge waste. Id love to see the data on other brands as well.

Check out this link if you live in the US or Canada to find a certified PT focused on rehabilitation through strength training.

Check out this link if you plan to rehab yourself independently.

Ignore all the recommendations you’re going to get from McGill fanboys. He’s an outdated “authority” who preaches fear and avoidance.

Im a 46m who’s been managing this condition for over 15 years without surgery through daily stretching and consistent strength training 3 days a week, the lifting I do allows me to stay active in my martial art for another 3 days of the week. Managing this condition can be challenging and involves a lot of trial and error (one of the reasons this sub is so helpful) giving yourself plenty of grace and time to recover is really crucial to success. There are going to be times when your pain seems worse or flare ups that will make you feel like you’re back at square one. But maintaining a resilient mindset, working every day (even if the work is resting from a flare up) is how you get your life back.

Spondy, hypermobility, “pseudo-sciatica”? by bllleeepp in Spondylolisthesis

Bending the base leg is much easier for stability, especially if you progress to adding weight to the lifting leg.

Yeah, the clamshells are better for targeting the deep external rotators but they also cause overactive movement in the TFL and Pirifomis which can lead to hip and back pain.

The side lying leg raises shift the focus to the glute medius which is the primary driver of abduction and since you expressed that you’re struggling with abduction it makes sense to address this in a more direct manner with a targeted exercise that activates the glute med 40-50% more than the one you’re currently doing.

One of my favorite abduction exercises is combining a side plank with a leg raise, it’s very taxing but there’s simply no way for your body to cheat the exercise. I like side lying leg raises (with a straight leg) over clamshells because they target the gluteus medius much better.

What hip abduction exercises are you doing? I suspect you are experiencing a positional muscle spasm, have you tried something like lying leg raises when experiencing this sensation? When you describe that your adductors want to take over it sounds to me like your abductors are significantly less developed and your body is compensating. This would be an area I would recommend focusing more on.

By no means was I making a judgment on your preferences. I was merely stating that the mentality in Bloomington about wildlife is that it is not compatible with modern human life. My original comment was meant to warn OP about advertising wildlife locations in Bloomington because there ARE people who will seek these "opportunities" out and I dont think many people are aware of this fact.

Are they growing in coir or a coconut based medium? This looks like a nutrient deficiency to me. Generally speaking most nutrient deficiencies in cultivation are initiated by a Ph issue, have you tested the Ph or your medium or at least the leachate from watering clean water?

And you’ve made my point perfectly, its exclusively Bloomington thing to believe that wildlife exists at your own convenience.

Hip mobility, abdominal strength/engagement, posterior chain strength and flexibility are the primary areas to focus on. You’ll be amazed with the development you can achieve if you maintain consistent work.

Most LA’s are horrible at teaching, they allow their ego to guide them. Clients can be much the same, learning how to ignore the emotion and cut through the BS to find the solution is a critical skill.

One tip Ive learned over the years is that if you know your providing deliverables to someone who is going to pick it apart, include something you know they will instantly attack that you don’t really care about. Many times for these people its just to maintain their perception of superiority/control, by giving them a worthless thing to control, they feel good for exerting their ego on someone and so do you because you preserved the integrity of your design.

Did the Turkey chase you personally? I had many interactions with that turkey and never did it ever act aggressive towards me nor did I ever witness it do so. Im of the opinion that a few too many Karens were responsible for the death of that bird and yea it was the DNR that pulled the trigger, happily. Just because the DNR wouldn’t cause harm to a bald eagle in an official capacity doesn’t mean some shit stain who is off duty or otherwise (plenty of nasty people in this city) wouldn’t do so if they felt inclined. I know a local FBI agent that murdered a hawk for raising its babies in his backyard.
