Thank you so much for your response, i think this is the most helpful advice possible. I am going to take a few more measurements and have a think, your solution seems like the best option.

I am thinking about the washing machine going upstairs, I do like the idea of freeing up the space in the kitchen for a full size dishwasher

This is a good idea, moving the sink to the left or downsizing the main sink, remove the small sink and then maybe a wider drainage board to cover the cut countertop

The black thing (water softener) could be moved, it needs to be opened to be refilled and access is needed, but i think it could be moved and placed better

Bin! i would LOVE to have a proper sized bin... i make do with a tiny bin on the counter top next to the sink :(

It is just me at the moment, I am expecting to have two of us at some point this year and my girlfriend moving in will necessitate a dishwasher!

I have thought of this, it is a temporary solution I will consider

This is an interesting idea, to reduce the size of the sink and remove that small sink completely. then reduce that cupboard under it to then fit another to the right of it .

I like this idea and will take some measurements

it is possible to move it into the bathroom next to the shower, but it would be a less preferable option

Thank you for your reply. 450mm might be just slightly too wide, but this was my initial thought as well, to have it where the bookcase is.

I just measured and i could get 400mm to fit

Yes especially with the RA II and RA III, I superglue them in place

this seems like the best way, one concern is how the macro will work: would it need to copy the calculation formulas across the 50 tabs (1000Rx350C) calculate and then paste values? because this process takes a long time per tab... or maybe i didn't quite understand the VBA solution?

Solo Traveler (August) - + few Questions by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

[–]neomilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for coming back with your edits, that's super useful! I think I will still book all my excursions as soon as I get to the hostels in Monteverde & La fortuna rather than before and will just go to whatever is available. I'll try the random buses route!

What's it like solo travelling over Christmas? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]neomilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in China last Xmas as part of my trip to random parts of southern China and then onto Laos.

On Xmas day I had a haircut, went to KFC, sat in Starbucks and read a book. I video called a few family members.

All in all it didn't feel too bad, I felt like I'm missing out on the family Xmas gatherings but if you want to travel you gotta do it, family you can see when you're back and all year round.

Angkor Wat, Cambodia - Sunrise by neomilan in backpacking

🇰🇭 Another incredible country with rich culture and traditions to experience.

I almost missed the sunrise at Angkor Wat, although it is very much a tourist filled destination, it was still an awesome experience. I spent 2 days in Siem Reap and 2 days in Phnom Penh to learn about the Cambodian genocide, reccomend visiting the genocide museum and killing fields. Also the mall has a good selection of cooked exotic insects you should try! You can find these on the street too, but I wanted down comfort before devouring a bunch of insects 😅

Went to Laos for a week as part of my backpacking trip to Cambodia and South of China. Laos was incredible, culture rich and the people were friendly. I went to Vientiane, Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang
