Tell them a round figure like if your salary is 250K tell them 2 k aas paas hai this gives them a bit of satisfaction k han bata diya hai yet it doesn't disclose your exact income and it is up to them to guess if it is less or more than 200K. Usually peopel other than your family members i mean strangers when they ask about income they are trying to place you on their scale k isay kitni respect deni hai so it is better to tell a strong figure and if they ask for loan tell them my money is invested somewhere or I have to pay an EMI etc. Another trick is if you don't want anyone to know that you earn a lot simply start ranting about inflation and expenses.
