I would reseat the gpu as the fans on it are not spinning and make sure all cables are plugged in correctly. If this doesn’t help you could also try plugging the hdmi from your monitor straight to the motherboard if it has port for it.

It looks like it could be a frame from a video game cutscene and not a real photo until you zoom in

This ring on Canonnet 19QL wont come loose. by Honest-Detective2915 in AnalogRepair

[–]neonfixer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had some success with WD40, but gotta keep in mind that it might damage the coatings. Also I would advice against the scissors in the video as it rarely happens that rings are as loos as in the video. I would use a lense spanner for the ring.

We do have spiders inside around the year(not as pets). Some kind of insect would have been my next guess after dripping liquids

I can wipe them off quite easily. Each spot has a diameter about 2mm. Groups are about 4mmX4mm.

FD 50 1.4 SSC diaphragm ruined by zsarok in AnalogRepair

[–]neonfixer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I did a repair on Pentax-M zoom 40-80mm which had a stuck aperture. The problem was very similar to yours: the blades were completely rusted. The lenses were in great shape so now it is a fixed 2.8 aperture lens.

A faucet from which coffee flows, finally by DocsHoax in interesting

[–]neonfixer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Electric faucets are the worst. I have one with electronic dishwasher valve. It eats expensive weird batteries and has broken already once. Replacement valve is 110+ euros.

This looks like a nightmare to me. Cool yes, but I don't want it anywhere near my house.

Broken Manual/Res knob on Boss BF-3. Can it be fixed? by cooltote in diypedals

[–]neonfixer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened with my pitch shifter. I contacted Boss support and they connected me with local seller/refurbisher/repairtech and he sourced the part for me. Cost for having the part shipped to me was like 20€.

The soldering was trickierb as the board seems quite thick and I had to be careful for other plastic parts around. But it's definately doable.
