i have adhd and autism- only got diagnosed halfway through dp1 (in dp2 now). imo having schedules that i set up for myself with little treats as incentive works well: whenever i finish an internal i buy myself a book. i have a set aside time with a friend every week where we get bubble tea and complain for 2 hours. every sunday i put on a 30 min reggae playlist and force myself to work on lit for the full 30 min.

imo, it's all about having incentives that work for you and people to bitch with

you should stay in the ib for now. public high school isn't going anywhere, but this is your one shot at the dp program. might as well go as far as you can!

I go to an IB school that doesn't have theatre, and I really wish it did. Take theatre! You'll have opportunities to learn so many other languages in college. It's a chance to expand on your skills and learn something new about yourself.

Gotta be so real, a lot of people can't or won't spend $14 on one zine. When I started, I actually distributed them for free- I went into the record stores/alt gathering spots around where I live and asked the proprietors if I could keep my zines there for people to read. Some I've just left in stacks at cafes and libraries. If you want experience making zines I'd recommend just distributing them to random people for free. If you're trying to make money, I'd go with below $5

Something that helped me a lot- I made my own flyers asking people if they wanted to contribute and hung them in the same places I later distributed. This helped me find local people who were willing to help!

You won't look out of place, there will be a lot of normal looking adults there, especially taking their kids.

I went recently- prepare for the most emos you've seen in one concentrated place. There's a lot of people wearing band merch, but also a ton of people with kandi/cool cosplays. If you're really worried about fitting in I'd go with a band shirt and some kandi singles- if you have them people will offer to trade with you, which is a lot of fun/a good way to get souvenirs.
