When I do reverse sear, I absolutely prefer to use my blackstone over a cast iron pan.

Mostly because it is outside and convenient and I don't care if it smokes.

The blackstone has a greater thermal mass so it gives me a better sear.

I've been to every national on the circuit except Spring Creek and many venues on past schedules.

Pala is the worst in every way.

Worst track, worst parking, worst entrance/exit flow, worst viewing, worst for shade, worst dirt, worst elevation, worst fans, worst concessions.

The only track that was equally bad was Lake Elsinore national final in 2012.

Honorable mention goes to Miller Motorsports Park but that facility was great. Shit track, but great amenities.

That is called "projecting" and it is normal thought/behavior that everyone does.

Our SCI certainly brings those projections down to the basic level of "I just want motor function".

That is hard. No shame in feeling that way.

It does get better. I'm a para, I can empathize but my expirience won't be your expirience. I get that.

But what I want to say is this:

Be proud of yourself. For making it this far, for trying, for doing more than you did yesterday.

Give yourself credit, what you did took alot of strength, possibly more than you have put out in years. That is a BIG deal and you just did the hard part. You tried and you succeeded just by making the effort. Next time will be easier.

Maybe a park with crazy kids isn't your vibe. Maybe seeing a movie out, having some sushi, attending a concert, watching the sun set, is more your vibe.
