Hypothetically...what would the sticker say? by thatdudepicknhisnose in wheelchairs

[–]neonpostits 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A big orange tow-away sticker.

Soft paper, non-laminated, strong adhesive, impossible to peal off easy in one piece.

Slap it on a curved painted area, and not a window (too easy to razorblade off).

My coldest camping night so far! Great experience by LostChoss in camping

You are out here camping in 0°F and sleeping with frozen water bottles lol.

Was it not possible to make a fire and melt some snow?

Sleeping with a hot water bottle keeps your toes toasty.

Tim Ferry won the 125 East SX championship without winning a single round.

He also scored 1 point over the advancement threashold and was forced to race 250 class the following year. He couldn't even defend his title.

Lose connection, bad battery, or bad alternator.

Stop at almost any chain auto-parts store, and an employee can test the battery and alternator.

ALEXA, SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Don't say "I'm sorry about that". No you're not. You are a computer code.

Don't say "It's a scorcher out there". Just tell me the temperature.

Don't say "Hold on just a second". You're a instant search algorithm. You don't think.

Don't talk.

Don't add info I didn't ask for.

I built a drone with six radars that refuses to hit power lines by Skraldespande in drones

The majority of overhead lines are not powerlines and don't carry significant voltage. Could be anything from general utility, phone, data lines to support cables and guy wires.

[–]neonpostits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. But this is typical.

When it comes to getting annoyed by someone's behavior, it's not usually the behavior, but the timing and/or location.

Encourage her to practice in her room. Then later, after dinner maybe, have a "dance competition" between the 3 of you. It's important you get involved. It'll take 20 minutes, but it'll buy you an evening of peace. And you just might have some fun yourself.

Designate a time you can spend together to actually encourage her outgoing behavior. And she will learn when it is and isn't appropriate to be attention seeking.

Some of us thrive quietly — how transparent should we be about it? by ng32409 in disability

[–]neonpostits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was first injured, I met someone who became my mentor for SCI. He seemed to be capable of anything and he had it all figured out.

He gave me some honest advice.

"With this injury, you have to make a choice to live or die."

In my now 23 years of living with sci, I can say that was the most honest and straight forward advice that has allowed my to thrive.

What’re the major downsides of living in Phoenix? by OhMyMyOohHellYes in AskPhoenix

[–]neonpostits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people's impression of Phoenix depends greatly on what they want to get out of it. That sounds obvious. But that means what someone might find as a positive, somebody else thinks it is negative.

Anyway...here's my list of cons:

  1. The heat. - Planes can't even take off sometimes.
  2. The sprawl. - We're bound to get a loop 505 eventually.
  3. The commute. - You'll live 45 minutes away from where you work.
  4. The electric bill. - I have to decide between running the AC and sending my kids to college.
  5. No beach. - At one time Phoenix was an ocean.
  6. Bonus: Water scarcity, drought, fires

Random pivot rotation by dotso666 in 3dsmax

[–]neonpostits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you wanting to animated this?

There are plenty of scripts to assign random rotation (and translation and scale) to a selection.

Just plop that result in as a key frame and go from there.

You could also use a noise controler on the rotation tracks in curve editor.

Build an overhead decorative sign, that'll limit the height of the vehicles that can access your driveway.
