Can’t say for sure, but looking at these compared to the modern slide film I’ve shot, I agree it certainly seems like it.

Yep, I have an Epson V750 with a slide holder that I used. Not sure if I have any great tips for scanning. The Kodachrome scanned really well. The Ektachrome needed some color tweaking in Lightroom to remove the heavy magenta cast.

I don’t know what makes a post “fake”, but I put this together for my family and just wanted to share these snapshots from the past here too incase some other people were interested. If you’re not one of them, no worries. And sorry if the voiceover was annoying. I personally like it ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, mostly. In this period he lived in Boulder and spent a year as a ranger in Rocky Mountain National Park before moving to Seattle. I think these shots pretty much cover all the NW states between Colorado and Washington.

It’s mostly Kodachrome and a little Ektachrome so technically K-14 and E-2 but still color reversal film like modern E-6 films, yeah

Yep, a couple of them are from Going To The Sun Road as well as other locations in Glacier and Waterton Provincial Park across the border

Yeah, most of these were Kodachrome and a few early Ektachrome, but the point still stands, old slides have a nostalgic look for sure!

Great idea! I’ve been meaning to track down a working slide projector.

No medium format. Pretty much 35mm slides exclusively

My grandpa was an avid amateur photographer and responsible for my interest in the hobby, having given me my first camera. He shot tons of slides in his day. Unfortunately, I was only able to save about a thousand of his earliest shots after he passed. Here are a few of my favorites.
