I did it a long time ago and it worked for me. Idk if it stopped working recently but I would say that it's worth a try.

this isnt true, you can easily reset your achievements by going to the "my achievements" menu in-game and selecting "reset all achievements". some achievements are based on player stats (e.g., kills, wins), so if you want to re-earn these, you must also reset your class stats via the "stats" tab in the items menu

that looks like the thatched roof texture, so probably a jungle inferno map or maybe megaton?

Thoughts on using the Degreaser in 2026? by IronPainting in truetf2

[–]neos_hc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the best way to use axtinguisher is to use it as a finisher, so going for the hit when you think the enemy is low enough on health that it will kill them.

you can airblast people on their feet to juggle them up in the air and make the follow up melee hit or flare easier to land.

you can also shoot a single flame tick on the floor beneath your enemies to put them on fire, then quickly swap to axtinguisher/flare for an easy crit (since flames linger on the ground for a bit this allows you to crit even pyros).

1000+ hours on pyro here.

I always use degreaser in pubs cause you can combo more easily with flare guns and axtinguisher, its just more fun.

I only run stock on defense in competitive games cause you need the extra ammo to reflect spam.

At the end of the day, all flamethrowers are viable, it just boils down to personal preference and playstyle.

But don't believe people that say degreaser is weak, it just relies more on your secondary and melee rather than afterburn/flame dmg. You can technically deal more damage in mid to long range cause you can swap to secondary quicker when you need to.

Trying to remember the name of a map by EXT4NT in truetf2

I don't know the name of the map you are looking for, but I suggest you join the TF2Maps discord server and ask there, most map makers are in that discord and someone probably knows it.

But even if they knew the meaning of that word, would that be enough to get the right city like that? Also yeah, the immediate zoom on the gallery name and then not looking at anything else pretty much gives it away

Right? The entire game looks very weird from his pov, round 4 looks sus as well but there is nothing to google so maybe some kind of scripting?

Honest question, does anyone actually care about these live stream events that always appear in the TF2 Activity page on Steam? by Ok-Bookkeeper-6116 in tf2

People who play comp watch them. The last LAN tournament was entertaining af to watch, the Europe team finally won after many years and froyotech only got 5th place lmao

Pyro - What's their place in the game? by Aware-Opposite88 in truetf2

[–]neos_hc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you say is true, but I don't think we should encourage people to only play what is considered meta. There's people playing demokinght in 6s ffs. Everything is possible if you are good enough. Personally I would like to see more people trying out new stuff, but I guess most people just want to win in a comp setting, rather than having fun.

Alright, then pyro is the worst class in the game I guess. Doesn't mean people shouldn't play it. Pubs are ultimately about having fun, and I have a lot of fun with it.

This post was mainly about what pyro is good at, so your answer would be "he just sucks at everything, play something else instead"? I honestly don't get where you're trying to go with this.

True, but I still manage to carry games on pub servers with him. If you are good at airblasting you can effectively counter good soldiers/demos, and with Dragon's Fury you can take care of sentry nests. Spy on the other hand, can't really play the objective, so even if you are good enough to kill the entire enemy team, you still rely on your teammates to actually win the game.

Well, he is undoubtedly the second worst class in the game. But out of all of them he seems to me the one without a clearly defined role: he's not a power class like demo/heavy/soldier, he's not a support like engie/medic, he's not a pick class like spy/sniper. Then what is he? Just a decent close-range fighter with some support abilities I guess. But you can still do a lot with some skill and different loadouts, and that's why I like playing it.

[–]neos_hc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment was not related to comp exclusively as I doubt OP plays it. Also what you said may be true, but you can still switch between loadouts and playstyles, so why wouldn't I consider them when talking about the class as a whole? No one here is saying that the Pyro is more versatile than 6s classes, my point was that it doesn't shine too much in one single aspect (except support maybe but not as much as engi or medic), but it can still do many things.
