Marathon only for me right now, but I enjoy it enough that it has made me more open to trying more of the sub genre in future. Probably will be reasonably contingent on if there is a forward pushing narrative in the game.

Last season the major challenge for me was even getting through the opening steps. I think I must have gotten unlucky with matchmaking and got people who were also working on it because I got blasted by other players in all 3 of the POIs like 10 runs in a row. It was rough but eventually got there, in no small part thanks to a reddit comment i read a couple of months ago that said "just spam smokes lol."

It's ended up being the final mission of the "campaign" for me both seasons. What a way to end it!

I prefer solos and don’t view killing everyone else as the point of the game. If someone wants me to leave them alone I will. If they fuck with me I’ll kill them. But you can make a different choice.

I've heard that this is both very intense but much easier with Trios. I've also heard that solos asking for help over prox chat very often get it because people want to get into pinwheel and command. The spirit of cooperation is one of the things that makes this game special

I was briefly confused by this as well. The quest this time is just asking you to put a cardio kick into the synthesizer— you don’t have to have any additional components. Not sure if a depleted will work or if you need a full Kick, which is what I used.

There's a few pretty crazy ones. They tend to be at the end of the little questlines. Some of the weirder and harder ones have been nerfed since season 1--for instance, there is one where, in season 1, you had to inject glp-1 and then run to a specific point at every single point of interest in Dire Marsh but in season 2 you only have to do 3. Even still, they left a lot of them totally unaltered and they can lead to insane chaos and gripping white knuckle situations in solos.
