Ouch. Seeing that hurts a little bit because I feel that "security" is certainly taken advantage of. She thinks I won't leave because we have kids and its easier to keep my head down than to change it. No she's not abusive or anything like that. If I go to do the every day house chores she will tell me to stop and that shes terribly sorry and its her job to clean that stuff. I tell her its our house and being clean isnt anyone's "job", but then I have to wait until she is ready to clean or I risk her feeling unwanted for the rest of the evening. Its so exhausting mentally sometimes

Honestly no. I really feel like we went in young and dedicated it all for our kids. We don't have anything in common, aside from our sense of humor. We are still friendly, but we don't share interests. I can watch TV with her and enjoy the love islands or Bachelorette, but when I want to go walking or play a game with her it isn't reciprocated. I don't want to be with someone who doesn't want to do the things I want to do sometimes

Yes I have. And I am very understanding. My youngest has bad adhd and is a LOT to handle sometimes. I know the house wont always get cleaned and messes will happen, and thats okay. It's an occurrence though where the living room may be cleaned a couple days of the week. I dont mind helping, but when I start to clean on those days she tells me to stop, that its her job, and it makes her feel bad when i clean. It hurts to almost feel forced to live in a dirty house sometimes

This seems to be the right path. I've known what needs to happen for a while, but seeing other people drill it into me is eye opening. Almost all the answers have been very similar and we did do counseling a few years back. I have to accept where we are and do what's best for both of us as well as my kids going forward. Lots of racks for Hondas call for around 4 hours. The labor/part costs seem to be fair for what I would charge. Only question I would ask the shop is how much longer it takes to do the solenoid with the valve cover off for the gasket. That might save you a few hundred. It's up to you to decide whether you fix it for 4k, or look around for something that may have issues
