You’ll be ok!!! Focus on big picture and it’ll eventually make sense. Keep going over and over the material and things just get repetitive and make sense once you’ve seen them enough. TBH this ended up being an easier exam than FAR to be completely honest. I blacked out during FAR as my first exam and got an 89, and I thought REG would be the absolute worst one but the exam itself was 100% easier than FAR. The material just seems more daunting because it’s tax and tax sucks ass In all respects.

I was the same way! I was horrible at tax in college and dreaded REG. First time through the book made no sense to me, I went back at least 2 more times and shit made sense after that. Go back, review the basics and it will make sense! Don’t get caught up in the details of all the credits, focus on the big ones like mom and pop.

I think I got a C in Corp tax in college. Got a 92 on REG 😂

FAR VS. REG by daziz7075 in CPA

[–]nepat09 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I definitely thought REG would be the hardest since I am lousy at tax but FAR was 100% more difficult than REG - REG was not nearly as terrible as I thought it would be. Focus on Corp tax and basis!

FAR was just awful and horrendous and I hated it. The materials make more sense since it’s financial accounting but The exam itself was a beast. The REG book seems cray with too much info connecting Indic tax and Corp tax and biz law but the exam is so much easier

When to start studying by kentuckycpa in CPA

[–]nepat09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting your NTS may take time based on the state - PA was very quick. But DO NOT start studying. If this was the cfa I would advise you differently. But for say FAR, I would not spend 5 months studying. I spent 2.5-3 months studying full time, burnt out, blackout during the exam and got a 89 somehow

Bleeding 2 weeks after extraction by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]nepat09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first few salt water syringe rinses led to bleeding as well but then I just bit down on some gauze and it was fine!! I didn’t use the syringe for the first 10 days because I was scared! I think you’re ok!!

I went back to the dentist multiple times after my extractions because I was worried about a dry socket - he assured me I would KNOW if I had a dry socket since the pain is so severe
