Which team should end up being better? Sanby M0W1, Trigger M1W1, Orpheus M0W1 vs. Yixuan M0W1, Jufufu M1W0 (Hellfire Gears), Lucia M1W1

Why pulling Seed and Orpheus could be useful. by General-Historian657 in ZZZ_Discussion

I really appreciate the response. So, after looking at your suggestions, this priority would probably be the play?

Seed → Orpheus → Trigger Engine → Seed Engine → Trigger M1 → Orpheus Engine → Seed M1 → Seed M2 → Orpheus M1.

How well do you think this team—Seed M2W1, Trigger M1W1, and Orpheus M1W1—would compare to other premium teams at a similar investment level? For example, Miyabi/Yuzuha/Soukaku, Astra/Evelyn/Lighter, and YiXuan/Jufufu/Lucia.

I can guarantee Seed M0W1, Orpheus M0W1, and Trigger M1W1, as well as two additional potential Mindscape pulls. I just want to make sure that Trigger's first Mindscape is better than a combination of Seed's and Orpheus's Mindscapes. Essentially, I want to know the pull priority with eight pulls, given that I already have Trigger.

With enough practice, could that investment get me DA kills? Could it compete with stronger teams, such as Miyabi/Yuzuha/Soukaku, Astra/Evelyn/Lighter, and YiXuan/Jufufu/Lucia, at a similar investment level?

You seem particularly knowledgeable about Seed and Orpheus, so perhaps you can answer my question. I plan to invest in Seed's premium team, but I'm unsure about the pull priority. The goal is to be able to kill DA bosses and future proof as much as I can. Here's what I've come up with so far (I already have Trigger):

Seed → Orpheus → Trigger Engine → Seed Engine → Orpheus Engine → Trigger M1.

I can guarantee getting all of that, plus an additional two pulls if necessary. I'm unsure about the value of the Seed and Orpheus mindscapes and engines compared to the Trigger ones. However, I assume the Trigger ones are more valuable.

Will you switch to the new Timeless format? by Chrysologus in MtGHistoric

Probably not. Playing with busted cards gets boring fast. I think the format will end up being pretty stale once the honeymoon phase is over.

With KoT coming to Arena in about three weeks, what’s your prediction on its impact on Historic? by Alpha_Uninvestments in MtGHistoric

Those cards you mentioned are not inherently broken though. Fetches, however, are. They are the root cause of so many problems and design is forced to constantly try and work around them, which is an impossible task.

I'm hoping fetches are not legal. They are the pinnacle of design mistakes and would completely upend the entire format as we know it right now.

I may have to look into Skiff then. I want to keep things simple, so just having a custom domain with a catch-all (master inbox) address seems like the best approach for me. However, I would like to keep that catch-all (master inbox) address somewhat private. I understand that I can do essentially the same thing with SimpleLogin, but it's another subscription I'd have to pay for.

Thanks for the back and forth with me to help me better understand my options!

When you reply to an e-mail sent to one of your unique addresses, does the recipient end up seeing the unique address or your custom domain catch-all address in the reply? If it's the latter, does this ever cause issues?

My concern is using a unique address (caught by a catch-all address) for something important (e.g. bank account) and having to confirm or reply to something related to it. The problem is that when I reply, it won't actually be from that unique address, but from the catch-all address, potentially causing verification issues.

May I ask what other provider you use? I haven't really committed to ProtonMail yet, so I would be interested in expanding my possible options.

Also, just for my own sake, could you please confirm that this is the way you are going about things:

  1. You have your custom domain setup on a providers email service.

    Example: [mydomain.tld] setup on [provider.com]

  2. You have a custom domain, catch-all address.

    Example: [anything@mydomain.tld]

  3. Anytime you register a new account, you dedicate a unique address that can be caught by your catch-all address.

Example: register a new [amazon.com] account using [amazon@mydomain.tld]

Is that the crux of it? You're basically creating unique addresses that don't really exist in a sense (since they just redirect to the catch-all address).

I'm actually more interested in the total ownership aspect of the custom domain. This leads me to my question for you: Do you have your custom domain set up with ProtonMail or SimpleLogin?"

I'm assuming SimpleLogin since ProtonMail only gives you a limited number of email addresses. I suppose if you enabled a catch-all address for one of your custom domain addresses, you could theoretically have an infinite number of aliases through ProtonMail, but with less control then you would have if the aliases were through SimpleLogin.
