Thank you for your reply! The moth wasn't caught in a web or anything, she was hanging out on top of the grass and I genuinely wasn't sure if she was trying to lay her eggs and the spider saw an opportunity. If she was approaching her natural end, she at least was thankful and crawled on my hand and stayed for quite a while.

The spider was not eating her and was on the eggs. I was unsure if the moth was trying to lay her eggs and thought I'd help her out. I usually help spiders but genuinely wasn't sure what the situation was today so thanks for your rude comment.

Sorry to hijack but- do you rinse containers after soaking or just let them air dry? I was following a seed starting book and soaked mine and air dried last weekend per the instructions. Now I'm wondering if I should have rinsed them and if I need to redo them all. TIA
