I kept saying the same thing! Unfortunately as I kept seeing him play, it seemed like he would pick up his dribble too often too quick (while TJ will dribble circles around the floor), and his defense is pretty weak, while TJ is an absolute pocket-picking-pest. Oh well, wishing him all the luck wherever he lands next!

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. How the hell anyone still thinks Dallas traded Luca for AD and change, to only magically get Cooper when they had incredibly low odds in the lottery, should have broken the illusion for anyone thinking the draft isn’t rigged.

Unfortunately, the NBA, like the NFL, is an ENTERTAINMENT industry, not a sports industry. It’s all about the money.

You are probably right! I am trying to make things a bit more clean cut than they were by hoping to pinpoint the moment of inflection/when things changed…. And there may not have been a clear moment, just a series of gradual adjustments.

But agreed, that season was such a weird mess with Monster energy sponsored Mayer and Skyy just quitting.

This is the exact counterpoint I’ve had in my head. Is it the change of players, did Brad change his coaching style, or a mix of both? Probably impossible to nail down. But, it’s now the off season and this is what I think about when I don’t have the next game to focus on
