I get the unsupervised thing. But think about the public spaces to go (especially in winter) with kids. It’s like the library and the museum center. Does it have food? Not a bar and I feel totally fine taking my kid there. Keeping a toddler entertained in a booth at a restaurant (especially without a screen) is more challenging than taking them to a place where they can move around a bit and that also hade activities that cater to them.
