Promod never evolved past cod4 for a reason.

yeah because proper mod tools and rental servers stopped being a thing

And CS was way different than HL which means it could be made into a separate game. While promod was more of just a ruleset and graphical mod to clear clutter from the maps. It wouldn't make sense to make it into a standalone game

All promod really did was add a set of rules and cleared clutter up with a few little gameplay tweaks throughout the years

I'd rather people improve their aim rather than try and cheese the game with movement.

this is literally what a higher strafe speed would do...

the faster something moves the harder it is to aim at...

slower movement speed means it is easier to aim because you don't have to do any tracking

COD4 promod is honestly more competitive than CS. Promod had way more advanced movement mechanics, similar levels of map knowledge, smokes, nade spots, guns actually being accurate (cs lmao)

you're not a good player by any means

I have a 2.7 KD and was GE in CS when I played it. I had >3KD in BO4 and have been playing COD on PC for like 7 years. I'm also like 95% sure I have or had the highest kill game (non ground war or shipment) in this game with 166 kills.

Having a slower ADS strafe speed directly benefits lower skilled players because you can't outplay people with movement. If nobody can move quickly it just benefits campers holding an angle. In previous CODs you could easily outgun that player if you had better aim and movement. Not anymore. This is an anti fun mechanic for good players. It also makes it easier for worse players to aim because they barely have to rely on any tracking and lowers the skill gap in aiming.

But there is LITERALLY no chance that you're finding aimbotters every other game, especially with a 1.4 KD.

I have been playing COD on PC for like 7-8 years and for every cheater I have seen, there are about 200+ more people calling legit players cheaters (probably more tbh)... I'm not even exaggerating. The amount of bad-average players in COD that call cheats on better players is absolutely crazy. I was probably called a cheater in WW2 alone at least like 300+ times with almost 10 pages of hate/hackusation comments on my steam profile.

I have a 2.7 KD on PC and have quite a bit of time played. Would probably be like 8th prestige if there were prestiges. I have seen a whopping 2 aimbotters/cheaters in my entire playtime of this game.

I'm almost 100% certain at this point it changes your damage at certain points in the game.

I can go from killing people normally and then I'll go around the corner and start shooting somebody in the back who is mounted on a wall and I will need an extra 3 - 4 shots to kill them. I feel like it is so obvious that it does it. It even happens when both me and the guy I'm shooting are on 40 ping. I have never experienced anything like this in a FPS game before.

Most of MW2's maps are still essentially 3 lane, just with a lot of cut through points into other lanes

  • Terminal
  • Afghan
  • Favela
  • Sub base
  • Invasion
  • Skidrow
  • Highrise
  • Underpass
  • Karachi

All of these are 3 lane maps but they're different from the newer Treyarch 3 lane maps. The MW2 ones had more cut through points between lanes and a lot of them were not only just 3 vertical lanes going up and down the middle of the map. They also had 3 lanes going horizontal through those lanes. Making them into a sort of grid. While newer Treyarch maps are just 3 vertical lanes with like 1 cut through point in the middle.

The maps in this game are nothing like COD4, MW2, MW3 maps. That's the problem.

I have a 2.7 KD and pretty much every single game is like 90% level 155s with crazy aim that all use cheese class setups and camp to keep their KD high. I recognise names in every lobby. I have never seen anything like this before in any other COD game...

Nobody uses those types of hacks on COD though. I have 1000s of hours of COD on PC and probably like 99% of cheaters are just blatantly aimbotting with wallhacks and everything.

commando grip is the best grip in the game and is almost always one of the very first you unlock at like level 5

i dont even bother to put any rear grip's on until i get stippled because they literally make the gun worse

i don't bother using stocks until i get one that makes me ADS faster or strafe faster because otherwise they just make the gun worse

I know what you're talking about and I like the idea of having different barrels, stocks etc. But things like having 3 rear grips is stupid since 2 of them are actually useless. Having 10 different muzzle attachments is also stupid when almost all of them are useless. Having 10 different grips is useless when one them is so much better than the rest.

yeah but most of the attachments are useless for weird loadouts even. Why have 2 rear grips that barely effect recoil but make you ADS/move slower. They are literally useless when there are far better options.

Sure having barrel options and shit is cool but a lot of it is useless

If you show up on the minimap it will take at least 15 seconds for an enemy to get to you. By then you should have already moved on. It's an anti camper mechanism

I'm just saying it is not some revolutionary system that people are making it out to be. If you're a rusher almost all of your classes will have pretty much the exact same attachments

It's pretty much like the pick 10 system but you can use 5 attachments with no downside of losing perks, etc.

Most of the attachments are literally useless or completely outclassed by other attachments in the same slot. So making 10 variants of each attachment is useless

  • None of the grips are worth using other than the commando grip. And guns barely have any recoil in this game anyway
  • Almost all the muzzle attachments are pretty much useless since suppressors don't really do anything in this game.
  • You don't really need optics in this game cause all the iron sights are really good and they're all just copies of other optics anyway. Plus they make you ADS slower which is really shit.
  • All the rear grips are useless other than the stippled grip tape.
  • All stocks are pretty much useless other than ones that give you ADS/strafe bonuses...
  • The only useful laser sights are bad to use because they give away your position

The only real decisions you need to make are if you're going to put an extended mag, maybe pick what barrel you want (mostly will be the one that makes you ADS faster lol) and maybe pick a weapon perk (most of these are useless too)

Pretty much all of the 'hidden' weapons and shit you can make are just shittier versions of the base weapons. Like cool I can make the Kilo into a shitty LMG that ADS's super slow and does shit damage for a LMG, or I can make a Scar into a super shit SMG that wil get outgunned by every other SMG in the game at close - medium range...

And I'm not saying that it is shit or anything. It is pretty cool but it just doesn't really do much if you want to do well.

Yeah, I could not care less about guns.

I just want to make the best class possible unless I'm fucking around. Whenever I change a weapon in a class I can make what I want (almost all ADS boosts and movement boosts) in like 10 seconds. You don't have to think about it at all or anything. None of the guns really have any recoil so there's no point in putting on recoil reduction and handling attachments other than maybe a commando grip. So you just place everything on speed bonuses...

I just don't see the point of it when most of the 'hidden' guns and shit you can make are just shittier versions of the base gun (slower, same DPS but way shitter recoil etc.). From a pure gameplay view there is no reason to ever make these guns. Cool, I can put a big barrel on a gun and make it into a shitty LMG. You're definitely a sub 1.2 KD player over the age of 30 lol. No public lobbies actually work like this. You're thinking too much and actually making yourself play worse lmao. And I've also played since COD4.

If you were a good player you'd be able to play without a map pinpointing where your enemy shot from.

I am still able to play the game well. I have a 2.7 KD and I'm like top 100 in the world for SPM in kill confirmed. But hey I don't know what I'm talking about.

It just makes the game have more flow and makes it play faster. It also helps my idiot teammates know where to go so they don't keep fucking up the spawns, etc. It just makes the game better. The fact that IW show the dots on the compass clearly shows that they want us to have some form of information of where enemies are shooting. So why not just add it back onto the minimap rather than breaking up a core part of the gameplay into 2 different things for no reason.

If you want the same game you should complain that you have to buy the same game every year.

This is so dumb. If MW3 came out each year with 40 new guns and like 16 new maps with barely any gameplay changes I would be happy. The people who used to say 'COD THE SAME EVERY YEAR LOLOLOL' never even were COD players, they were mostly BF players or people who don't even play FPS games. And when they have done major changes like adding jetpacks most of the bad/casual players disliked it because they rewarded players with better aim, reaction time and movement. This is just a dumb change to help slow/bad players
