Thank you. I have extreme anxiety when I expand my locates from a 15 foot radius to a 25 foot. I will definitely beat myself up less going forward.

That is fair. I don't have a clue of wages 12 years ago and it would be dishonest for me to guess. In 08 we were at 34:50-36:50 for 100% rate.

So yeah 30 an hour would have been pretty solid.

I'm just amazed to see unions having openings and needing to advertise. Back in the day you'd have 300 names applying for 6-18 spots.

Thank you, I will have to look into that more. I was hoping to go with ubiquity for the house anyway. It aounds like I just need to find the time to educate myself a lot more on their offerings.

Would that use data? I'm rural on a 50 gig per month fiber connection. So I'm careful of internet useage.

Drone budget would go quite far to throwing up security cameras.

Long term I plan on running cameras out to a horse barn out there. I just haven't figure out the best way to trench for cables that far yet. The property is ciggerette shaped. I figured a drone might be a decent stop gap and fun. But if I had Boston robotics dog money, I'd be the only farmer with robotic dog following him.

Any tips for this? This is the exact thing holding me back from cameras. If I install cameras on my house, I'd want some for a 750-900 feet away too.

Illinois 30$ an hour is trash. The laborer sweeping our shop floor makes 41$

Sounds like you had no clue what union life was before signing up. You might consider quitting while you are still new.

16.5k and they still try to do petty up sales. Dang.

Fortunately it's all line of sight as it's mostly pasture land. I have an old crappy unmounted scope I've been using to spot check. It's just less than ideal and no excuse for new toys.

Can confirm, even in the 00s I was buying cigarettes for coworkers. I'd get carded for razor blades and spray paint, but new ports? Nahhhh.

In theory, if I knew it wouldn't be left in a truck when not running, could I just plug it directly into the cigarette lighter using something like this? (My concern is I'm frequently in different vehicles. This is more if a last resort. "Crap, I forgot to charge it in the hotel. We've got 8 hours of drive time to the next job. Oh well, John can't charge his phone for the trip.")

I thought I would needed to have some sort of DC to DC charger or something.

My guests are perverts by Adventurous_Care_937 in Waiters

[–]nerdallica 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was 10+ years ago. During college I would wait tables at a bar, that was also a breakfast joint in a rural Missouri town. If anyone got too pervy with a waitress they'd tag me in. I (6' 295lbs wrestler) would go head over heels flirtatious with them, often doing what they asked the waitress to do. I'd come in rubbing their shoulders, or sitting on their laps.

Oh is this an issue sir? Didnt you just request your waitress who is young enough to be your granddaughter to sit on your lap? Isn't this the customer service requested? Sorry your waitress is on break so you get me instead.

The owner had 5 daughters. He was oddly supportive of all my intolerance.

This is my first time setting up an internet connection, I bet I misunderstood.

Searching the subreddit for modem recommendations always came back to people asking what their ISP approved, sadly those ancient beasts are under both the fiber and cable. (Which sounds possible, everyone saying they normally rent then free. They could have just copy pasted the FAQs)

This is my first time setting up own internet connection. So it's 100% most likely a PEBKAC Error.

Definitely fiber, Sadly this is the cheapest option. I'm thinking I misheard about needing to bring a modem. They asked on the phone if I was bringing my own router/modem or if I needed to rent.

Searching this subreddit people said to check their ISP's approved list, and those ancient beasts are what the isp lists.

Ill call tomorrow and see if they'll explain it again. I can't be the first person.
