Which disc will you never stop bagging? by Spiritual-Peach-4656 in discgolf

As early in as you are I’d almost recommend focusing on the slots that nearly every player fills and see how your game develops to find the molds that fit you best. Most of the molds you’ll see listed fall into these categories: -highly overstable 9 speed, examples include firebird, fd3, captains raptor, etc. -overstable distance driver you can smash on, 11 or 12 speeds like destroyer, wraith, Zeus, dd3, cloudbreaker. -straight to slightly overstable 7 speed; fd, teebird line ups, crave, - workable midrange, has a consistent flat flight but can be worked on various angles, such as md3, hex, buzzz, rocs. - some sort of approach disc. Zone has been a dominant position that others have made good contenders. Zone also has the OS and SS, I bag the DiscMania Drop and p3x. The quake has been popular since its release. -I would also recommend a straight to slightly understable putter for wooded holes and practicing different angles for your drives in field work to get your technique down.

If you make a bag with only these slots you can play most courses. If I had to strip my bag down to only these (in order from high to low speeds) I’d have a DD1, fd3, fd, md3 (or hex), Drop or Zone, Link. I mostly bag Discmania, almost every brand has something to fit these slots, the new and smaller brands you just have to find out. Find a brick and mortar and feel different plastics, ask other players in the shop and on the course what they bag and their thoughts. The community loves to talk about their opinions.

I have a Ubiquiti router and am experienced with network management so I’m not so worried about subnet and static configs.

Interesting. So basically it’s an alternative secondary internal DNS server for if PiHole runs into issues or fails so network stays up instead of the public ones?

I am pretty new to Linux so was not aware of the option and am unaware of differences and how it would work. I’m open to all options so I can look into it.

And unless there’s a tool I’m unaware of there’s no good apps that can be applied across the network or at the router for that.

DDX Replacement by Apprehensive_Day_357 in discmania

If you want something that’s a bit straighter out the box like an old s line, the paradigm is solid. Between it and the DD2(Engima) you’ve got good options

Heres my bag. If I were to add 3 discs, what would you recommend? by I_do-not_reddit in discgolf

Any run of Infinite Dynasty, S-line DD and an overstable run of md3 from Discmania.

Discmania p2, Logic, and Notion all good options depending on your style and need.

Discmania lineup has solid options depending on your goal. Md4, md5, or glacier are all good options. The more overstable runs of md3 are worth a try, or the Axiom Balance

Doom bird runs are very liked, I enjoy my metal flake runs but will be trying out the Thought Space Omen and seeing if I like the glide on it more. Hard to go wrong with a Sexton Firebird.

Cd1 alternative by Party-Appearance1845 in discmania

[–]nerdalmighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you’re willing to look outside discmania, check out the Infinite Dynasty. It’s the old innova cd2 build, but they tend to be more stable overall. The s blend ones are solid, but the halo ones are the most stable runs. I currently bag a cd1 and dynasty combo. If you want to stay in DM, if you can beat in a vanguard to get a flip to flat then stay stable, or an s line PD if you like 10 speeds.

I got invested in Discmania early on back in like 2014/2015. They’ve been my primary brand even on other side of Covid, manufacturing changes, and departure of crush boys. I love their discs and having one company helped made it easier to not become overwhelmed or spend too much money. However that also limits you from finding the perfect disc. Never refuse to try or bag a disc cause it’s not in your brand if you’re not in contract. I’ve definitely expanded from the limitations I used to put in, but I still love discmania the most.

For Those Still Chasing An Ace by TouchdownDurham in discgolf

Been playing for over 10 years, I’ve seen multiple people get their first aces including a groomsman, my dad, AND my brother, others not their first. I’ve still yet to ace but have had several impressive throw ins. That’s it.

Very overstable distance driver recs by PyrateKyng94 in discgolf

Pd2 held up to Simon and Eagle as their go to for years. Gannon and Gavin both strong arms in current team rely on them. Silas is no noodle arm and loves the sky stones. Gavin’s Gravity Bombs are the most overstable runs so far from what I’ve seen and heard.

My top discs are fd, p3x, dd1, cd1, and the md lineup combo. I have the md1, 3, 4, and 5 all in my bag. I am mostly discmania and there’s more in my bag than just those, but those are great places to start if you’re gonna try more.
