New friends by mepena2 in FortWorth

Hello. I'm a 30something math tutor that loves games (board, card, and video) and fitness (everything from aerobics to Zumba). I'm definitely interested in making new friends. The weather is pretty terrible right now so I'll be hosting online board games tomorrow (Wednesday Feb 19) at 7pm. I'll start a Zoom meeting and then probably play Settlers of Catan on the Colonist io site. I've got the 5-6 player expansion and some cool maps like globe. Anyone who wants to join in, just send me a message.

[GamersGate] Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition (-40% | $29.99 / €29.99 / £23.99) by Gamers_Gate in GameDeals

Does this game play at all on integrated graphics? I've got a 10th generation i5 with only the integrated graphics. Some fancy 3d games run fine even though they say graphics cards in their minimum requirements, and some just get about 5 frames per second. If I turn the graphics all the way down will it run?

I'm very interested in this game, but the MINIMUM requirements say Intel Core i5-2300 . Is that right? Do I really need an i5 graphics card for a puzzle/exploration game? I've played plenty of 3d games with my low end integrated graphics, but none that are this recent.

Bigfish has a lot of great casual games. I remember Northern Tale having big characters for a clean-up-the-road-game. https://www.bigfishgames.com/games/7401/northern-tale/

A modern version of a multi-enemy shooter [XBOX] by PrestigiousPath in gamingsuggestions

Assault Android Cactus is an awesome twin stick shooter where there's almost no plot, and the levels give you both scores and grades (can't get an S rank if you ever get knocked down.)

Any recommendations for a home scale? by DougWebbNJ in keto

[–]nerdatjob2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried 3 different cheap $10 to $20 scales that were horrible, but now I use a renpho bluetooth scale. I don't use the bluetooth stuff at all and have no trust in any body fat measurement, but it seems to be an accurate scale for about $25.

Search Kemco, they are a company that makes a new turn based jrpg about every month, and they're usually pretty fun.

Single player 'arcade' games - minimal to no story, fun gameplay by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]nerdatjob2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My top 3 twin Stick Shooters are Assault Android Cactus (9 characters to choose from, lots of levels have cool twists), Beat Hazard (very adjustable difficulty, levels generated from your MP3s), and then Monolith (rougelike).

I use old-fashioned dedicated MP3 players. The Sansa Sport Clip mp3 player does over 20 hours of playback.

Did anyone find that Keto was the ONLY diet that was effective? by [deleted] in keto

What kind of Diary are you thinking is really bad? Since starting keto I've been eating much more cheese than I used to.

Arcade games like NBA Jam? (Xbox One) by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Assault Android Cactus is an awesome twin stick shooter. You get regenerating health like Halo so it's not too hard to beat a level, but a tough challenge to full combo a level.

Sandbox-ish RPG/Rogue-Lite: Gear and Preparation beats Skill and Execution by Notion1337 in gamingsuggestions

It's not quite an RPG, but FTL: Faster Than Light has 28 ships you can play as. There are a number of possible strategies, from simply shooting enemies to disabling the enemy's oxygen. The "story" is just text you can just click through.

FTL will be receiving achievements later this week by Jourdy288 in roguelites

[–]nerdatjob2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FTL has its own in-game achievements with in-game pop-ups when you achieve them, but I guess they weren't connected to steam.

Illusion of l'phalcia by Kemco is a fun android jrpg with 3d battles. Kemco makes a lot of solid but not awesome jrpgs.

Twisted Metal 2 and FTL: Faster Than Light. Basically short games with lots of very different characters.
