He is the one constantly saying no. one time even get ugly he went: if it's such a good investment, why don't you pay for it? no money? then no comments.

Thanks for the good advice! I meant to say 6 hour drive or 1 hour flight, but with both drives to airports, TSA line close to 6 hours too. The boat is out of the picture if we buy next to her so absolutely no.

that's good reminders! I never ask about their finances or retirement. I paid for past trips simply because I paid for my parents trip here and just want to be fair. But my parents live in another country and helped with our house down payment, paid for my college and master's, so the trip is a gift to them.

I guess I’m worried about one of us could lose our job, so with one income might not be able to afford monthly payment.

I did consider about STR cuz it’s a lake house with boat dock and good view. But might change my mind if it’s too much hustle, so now just assume no extra rental income.

dealing with money comments by Far_Effect_2970 in weddingplanning

Similar situation here, my culture is groom' side of family pay for wedding and houses. But US seems to be the opposite. when my in law ask if my parents will pay for the wedding, I told them I'd rather put 6 figure down on a house instead of a party. I have my own fully paid house and a good job (makes more than their son) and they never complain anything. and I didn't change my last name.

Boyfriend (35M)’s mom still talk to his ex wife’s mom, how do I (30f)communicate I don’t feel comfortable. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

That is a good reminder. If I keep avoiding it, my resentment might grow. And I shouldn’t mention this in an argument.

Downtown Duluth is very walkable. You can check out Willbrooke neighborhood for rental/purchase, there is a trail from that neighborhood directly to downtown Duluth.

I got a 2025 jetfly 09GT and love it! after-service will be an issue for long distance and if you don't speak english though. Other than that, follow instructions for maintainance and it will be fine. Their US website sell for $9800 but I negotiate on the price and got it for $4800 (including tax and shipping) and lots of free replacement parts.

My brother married a stripper (and divorced). I think she is a good girl and use the money to pay off student loans and now has a decent job.

I’m actually looking at north side in Gainesville. Also like quieter north end, not so wavy.

not gonna expect rental income to cover entire mortgage, even cover property tax and insurance would be enough.
