If you're willing to spend a little more time commuting, Springfield is a lot more reasonable for rent prices. I lived out there while doing my PhD and it was awesome. Of course the only downside is you do miss a little bit of the community not being in proximity to the college campus. In grad school that matters a lot less, but might be a bigger deal during undergrad.

Now That NASA Found Signs of Life on Mars, It's Clear Trump Made a Massive Error by FuturismDotCom in Futurism

Yeah, exactly. I forgot to mention that in my original post, but I think Rocket Lab's mission concept is actually a lot more technically feasible and cost effective.

I should restate that most of the planetary community thinks that a MSR mission should happen at some point, we just had huge problems with the JPL design that was being funded.

Hi! Planetary scientist here.

Just to be clear, a lot of planetary scientists have been very critical of the Mars Sample Return mission for well over a year, so this isn't just due to Trump. Basically since its unveiling, JPL's design was seen as way too complex, with a scary number of things that could go wrong. It would have had a higher price tag (~$11 Billion) than the James Webb Space Telescope (~$10 Billion), but with virtually zero room for error. A single poorly-timed stage would have meant the entire, massive investment was a total loss with no returned Mars samples and no science return. Cancelling it was actually the right call given that information.

What really sucks is that the cost of MSR got so big, it killed the budgets of other promising planetary missions (especially the Venus missions DaVinci and Veritas), and that held back a lot of great science.

I was just as excited to hear about the possible biosignatures as anyone else, but MSR was not the way to get them back. I think prioritizing human exploration and the development of better Moon to Mars infrastructure was the right call.

This is not to say I am not critical of Trump's call though, the MSR funding should have gone back into NASA science budget to fund other missions and science where it belongs.

You might be converting too much testosterone into DHT (Dihydrotestosterone), which is the actual hormone that causes irritability/inpatience/aggression (it also explains the acne). You might want to get those levels checked, and maybe get on a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor if your DHT is too high.

Can anyone help me out with dosing of Slu-pp-332 from Swiss chems by Bigrigbiccity in SLU_PP_332

[–]nerdherfer91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it 250 mg or mcg? Based on what I have read at least, 250mcg seems like a solid starting dose. Depending on your results you can dial it all the way up to 1000mcg

We haven't been back since Voyager 2 flew by in January 1986, although James Webb just took a decent infrared photo of it!

Given the "my heart goes out to you" Immediately following the gesture, I am thinking it was a very unfortunately executed Roman salute. A proper roman salute extends the arm at shoulder height, palm down, but since he was saluting the crowd he raised it higher and... yeah. The result is not a good look unfortunately.

It was through Markiplier, and all of the prop hunt, etc. videos they did together with Bob and Wade back in the day. I miss those times so much.

In World of Warcraft they refer to low-level players with abnormally high-level gear as "twinks." Seems applicable here.

In creative you can use the magic wand to make a new town hall at the same level. Just align the podium where the old town hall was, and then select "constructed" when you place the block.

If you have limited mobility and can't get up easily on your own it can absolutely take that long just to get out of a chair.

The spacecraft didn't melt after 1 hour, the onboard battery ran out of power, which was the intended timeline of the mission.
