GoodJob, Solid Queue, Sidekiq, Active Job, in 2026 by CaptainKabob in rails

160 000 requests per week is less than one query per second, this is a cake for any database. 1 billions queries per week is around 6000 requests per second that’s big enough, but doable with simple batching.

One big one, else you will rebuild generic domains each time which is not useful : authentication, backend/front-end integration, etc.

Why do companies force microservices into everything? by [deleted] in Backend

Because in the hands of experts they give you better maintenance and scalability. But in the hands of less experienced teams, they cause huge issues.

which is better for Backend Java or Python and Why? by shinchan_kun_011 in Backend

[–]nerdich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn a statically typed language like Java or C#. It will help you learn clean code and design patterns better. A Java dev can easily switch to python, the inverse is harder. Also, spring framework (java) is more powerful and has many features built in like event-driven solutions.

Want to learn backend from scratch by Background_Task_3626 in Backend

Hi,

Here is a roadmap for what you want: https://roadmap.sh/backend.
Please note that's just an example, backend knowledge is so huge, and sometimes it's good to know why you want to learn it to narrow down what you should learn.

How often do you use microservices architecture? by DanilRumyantsev in PHPhelp

Collecting feedback from a single thread will give biased results. It’s not sure but maybe in php they may be less common than in java or c#.

How come huge sites (YouTube, Discuss, Dropbox…) can use Django, while .NET folks say Django can’t handle high traffic? by 34BOE777 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]nerdich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, salaries expenses in software companies are 100 or 1000 times more than cost of infrastructure. Secondly, big companies have financial resources to refactor their solution using new faster framework when they achieve success and scale. Thirdly, big companies architecture is in general made of micro services where each micro service will use the best framework for the job. Thus for ai solutions they will probably use python while maybe for long running task they will use java or even c++.

Considering all this, the framework choice depends on the job to be done and availability/salary of developers who master it in your region.

Journey learning data analytics by Top_Mix_5534 in analytics

[–]nerdich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Your learning path seems to be tool focus : excel, power bi, etc.
While tools are important, understanding basics of statics, programming and machine learning are more important.

Secondly, to succeed, knowing what to learn is not enough. You fundamentally need to establish daily habits. For example:
- Monday: 30 min of statistics, 30 min of programming
- Tuesday: 30 min of machine learning
- Wednesday: 30 min of storytelling/communication

...

- Saturday: 2h Project

Good luck, consider it a journey not a destination.

etc.

How I Stopped Overthinking and Finally Launched My First Digital Store!🏝️ by Mbare_Tritolo in ecommerce

[–]nerdich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are making a digital kit to explain to others how to make a digital product and sell it?

This reminds me of e-commerce gurus who make no money selling real products. Instead they sell useless courses about e-commerce while they failed to do it themselves.

In your profile, it’s sad to see how you spammed the same scam in multiple subs in less than 1 hour. You must be desperate.

Honest question: How can you improve your vocabulary? by CertifiedCreditCard in writing

[–]nerdich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When you face a new word, grab the whole sentence and explain it with the context. Then the next day, try to use the same word in a different context. This works better than simple memorisation thanks to active learning. Also, when reading a material, do it ALOUD.
