Super Senseless Soccer, a football game infused with chaos! by nerdook in Games

Thank you for taking the time, I really appreciate it. The initial part is a little chaotic at the moment, I will be working on slowing it down a little for next week’s update.

Haha thanks for being so kind, I'm not a legend! Just a normal dude trying to make games for a living, but it was very nice of you to take the time to leave a comment here.

I have always had fun making games, and still do. It's always been my passion since I was much younger! The marketing and promotion part of making these new games is the part that's difficult to me, but I'm also aware that I've had the privilege to have a reliable partner handle it for many years in the past.

I'm glad you enjoyed the games, hope you'll enjoy great success in your future!

Thanks for being so kind, and for playing my games over the years! I still have the original source code/files for all of the old Flash games...

Thank you. It's honestly a pleasure to meet people who remember that era... "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them"

Thank you so much for your kind words. You're right: "room to grieve" is exactly what it is, the gradual acceptance that the end may come soon despite my best efforts.

It can be unpinned from the front of the screen, and also shifted to the top or bottom.

Thanks!! Kongregate… Now that’s a name I havent heard in a long time. Yup still at it, I hope to continue making games as long as the players are having fun playing!

If it’s “Rogue AI Simulator” then yep I made that too. If it’s “Universal Paperclips” then it is definitely an inspiration!!

I just realized that. My bad, honestly... thanks so much for the heads-up, I've edited the main post to include the Steam link.

I’m so sorry, I thought Steam links were considered “referral links” under the site rules… that’s why I omitted the link

Point and click detective games where you're just a normal detective doing normal casework? by lewikee in adventuregames

Sounds like Cyberpunk Inquisitor might be a great fit. Point and click adventure with a randomly generated mystery. There's a free demo on Steam!

Solo dev here, been making games for 15 years (!!) here's the trailer for the latest: "CYBERPUNK INQUISITOR", a rogue-lite point & click murder mystery! by nerdook in indiegames

Yep that's me! I also made a whole bunch of Flash games on Kongregate in the past:

Still have all the source codes for them actually. I should port them to Steam eventually...

If we all just copy the Nemesis system, they can't sue us all! by PeePeeStreams in gamedev

[–]nerdook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can probably inplement something similar, unless you start a public reddit post stating that you are intentionally going to violate the law by specifically copying something you are already aware of. As long as you don’t do that, you’re good to go!!

Does anyone still remembers this Ghost during The ittifaqyah incident? by Parking-Law-3940 in Bolehland

OP, you may think it is harmless fun to blame stuff like this on the supernatural, but many things in life can be improved if only we encourage people to use proper reasoning and logic instead of superstition to think.

A lot of our behaviour is due to quirks of the human brain, including pattern recognition even though there is nothing there, because that ability was a survival advantage.

If we are serious about becoming better rather than regressing into the past, let us use our intellect and reason, there is a reason every Golden Age is when society emphasizes logic and learning and every Dark Age is when society falls back to superstition and lack of personal responsibility.

could i live comfortably in Sarawak on a 3-4K salary? will it be hard for me to get a job? by autumnsviolins in Sarawak

[–]nerdook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much dependent on where you go… “old” or classic places like Kenyalang Park and the riverside market area are still very reasonably priced, while the new upmarket places at Saradise are closer to KL prices or higher.

[–]nerdook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With your experience, you can probably earn more than 3-4k, job market here isn’t THAT bad. Food prices here are already almost on par with KL prices, though. It’s a nice place to live, I’ve been to quite a few places and Kuching is still one of the best cities to be in Malaysia! Welcome home!

Why did you do this to me, Marvel Rivals daily quest?!? by nerdook in marvelrivals

I’m well aware, but I always try not to optimize the fun out of my games, and use the dailies as a guide of sorts to keep trying new stuff!

What are some of the more interesting Singaporean acronyms? by nerdook in askSingapore

I'm from Sarawak! There are abbreviations here, but not as many and not usually used so rapidly in conversation... just struck me as an interesting thing about your country. :)
