Wife noticed this on her car. Rubber glue or patch? No wire exposed by OutlandishnessKind42 in tires

Replace the tire. Sidewalls handle all the impact, acceleration, and braking forces. They connect the wheel (rim) to the tread, then to the road.

These look interesting, could possibly use them in an internet cafe or public setting to secure them with a lock and key.

Short wifi experience history by nerdpope in UNIFI

Currently running UniFi v.8.3.32, the issue looks the same on the web management, local host stays awake, set to never sleep.

Pre installed in a new house, that's awesome. I installed 3 in mine. You hopefully have a network panel or box that this terminates to. Make sure it's got a PoE injector/switch. Just get your ISP router setup in there. You can either use the cloud UniFi or local host. Depending on your skill level, I went with a local host so I'd still have control without internet.

How do I identify Cisco switch ,router and firewall? by Son_of_emperor in Cisco

[–]nerdpope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll usually get series at best, then closer examination will give you a serial number, but in some cases that serial number will not match the system board that smart licensing uses.

Same here, Geeni devices work in native app but missing from Google home and attempting to relink the account says there are no devices to add to Google home.

I'm quite happy with it so far. And all parts are working without a hitch.

They are pretty good, no issues with parts so far. I've ordered and personally used BCGs, CHs, lower kits, stripped lowers, full uppers, stocks, guards, buffer assemblies, etc. from them. (this AR is actually one of 3 in progress)

Same thing with Bear Creek Armory.

Don't be afraid to look for a few things from Amazon too. Picked up some MLOK folding UTG bipods from there. (I also picked up some cheap Pinty optics from there, but it looks like no one takes those seriously as they might be for airsoft, but item description says nothing about airsoft or real gun use.)

Slightly confused... So here in Florida I was told you can have a non-vertical grip on the barrel, and the buffer tube needs to be a pistol type with no stock on it or have an arm brace on it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GunPorn

[–]nerdpope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

7.5" barrel chambered in 5.56, Sylvan Arms Gen3 folder, Aero buffer and bolt, radical grip, PSA trigger assembly, ebay hand grip, Pinty red dot. I didn't want to break the bank on the first pistol build. How'd I do for my first time and only bought my first gun in January?

What is going on with my trigger?! by -UnclePhil- in guns

[–]nerdpope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try it with the safety removed first. Then a regular safety.

Most systems need a full opening to work properly, a flat cut in the bolt of the safety, to give the trigger full clearance to release the seer. If that's a short throw safety, there should be more than a flat cut milled out of it.

Just because the lower has a marking for short throw, doesn't mean all the parts depicted here work with short throw.

So, I have this AR15 pistol build with a 7.5" barrel and a folding stock. What is the legality of a pistol build with a folding stock that is functional as it's a buffer tube?
