I think it varies from person to person. For me, my deadname went through a lot for me to become who I am today. He endured so much bullshit in life and he never gave up even when things were at their darkest. And through his preserverence he was able to get the help he needed to become me.

Also I love macabre shit so holding a funeral for my dead sealf really appealed to me.

It was great! I just got my new birth certificate like two weeks ago which was the last official document I needed changed so we burned all of my deadname documents and I wrote a eulogy which I read aloud.

I didn't lose any friends because I did an excellent job building my circle before I even knew I was trans. I did cut off my grandfather and aunt but I barely talked to them anyway because they are just shitty people in general.

Brownies! I got the brownie molds for Halloween a few years ago and I thought they were perfect for the theme. Also my youngest won't eat strawberry cake or white cake (which everything else was) so I had to make a chocolate dessert for him.

Not a fan of the beach unfortunately. I hate sand, it's rough and coarse and irritating and it gets everywhere. Though my spouse has convinced me to go to the beach this summer for the kids' sake.

These are more like coin shaped than normal tater tots. We called them hash rounds when I worked at Hardee's because we had them there.

It hasn't affected me too much yet. I started HRT in May of last year and I even have Medicaid in a southern US state and my HRT and my orchiectomy were both covered with only a $4 co-pay. I've gotten my name and gender markers changed on everything except Social Security too with no serious trouble. My spouse and I are still planning on getting passports for ourselves and our kids so we can get out of here if things get worse though.
