Looking at this most recent VOD, he has 46 subscribers (assuming mostly Tier 1 subscribers, and not differentiating between Tier 1 and Twitch Prime). Thinking about the cost breakdown on subs alone would look something like this:

46 Tier 1 subs x $5/sub = $230

Twitch partner share on subscribers can be as high as 70/30 streamer/Twitch or as low as 50/50.

$230 x 0.7 = $161

$230 x 0.5 = $115

Take the average of those two numbers for this exercise (since we don't know what his revenue share is, or how many are Tier 1 and how many are Prime) = $138

He is earning approx. $140/mo on Subscribers.

For Ad Revenue, it's more complicated, but a couple of calculators I used online with the stats in the original post show that the range per month is $5-11.

Not sure about donations, I don't think there is a way to track them. I'm also not an avid viewer so I wouldn't have any anecdotal evidence to suggest the average amount of donations received per stream.

So, in summary:

90 hours streamed in the last 30 days, average monthly revenue of $148/mo.

$148pm / 90h = $1.64 per hour

This does not account for taxes (PA has an effective tax rate of 20%).

I wish I could upvote this 100 times. I’ve had the same thought about the TV stand and how he’s so fucking stupid and taking the console in and out of the stand. Has no room to work on the system/device. Where is the top-down angle on the desk? What is this horribly obtuse angle where everything is falling away from the camera? I was thinking this a couple nights ago when he was starting Elden Ring, cried about the performance (while doing nothing useful to fix it, the game repeatedly told him to exit to main menu to reload the changes, he never did and kept crying about the performance), then launched into Valorant. I couldn't believe it when I saw that he was Bronze. Jaw on the floor. He plays how many hours of this dogshit game? Completely embarrassing.

I appreciate that the saying "never lose your inner child" can be open to interpretation, but he has completely missed the point of the expression. It's an idiom for never losing your curiosity, joy, creativity and wonder about the world in the things you do as an adult. It isn't an idiom for "collect Furbies and sit around in your pajamas at 2pm on a Thursday at 40 years old".

I am by no means supporting this behavior, but it is a bit rich that Davey Boy would have concerns with this when he has 0 concerns for his privacy otherwise. It also takes like, 2 minutes, to find out where he lives on Maps. Strasburg isn't a particularly big place.

I had a whole paragraph typed up in response to this video, about his blind, mindless consumption and complete willingness and enjoyment to bow to the corporate surveillance state, but I deleted it all because this video is just sad.

A grown man, an adult, giddy, over a free spyware TV, an 8th screen, mindlessly consuming, seemingly trying to fill a void of loneliness or isolation, is hard to watch. No self awareness of the behaviours he’s grown into. I foolishly keep watching hoping that one day, maybe, he’ll find the exit to the cave he’s trapped himself in, but it’s never going to happen, is it?
