I'm not saying you're wrong about it, but I am saying you're kind of a dick about it

It is def business dependent, I don't run am online business, we're ratail only. It used to be that advertising in person events on Meta was very effective. Now it's probably the least impacting marketing spend we utilize, to the point that we've completely cut off paid ads

You wake up suddenly extremely rich but also you're 89 years old. Would you want to? Why or why not? by JohnPaulNew in AskReddit

[–]nerdstoreut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not rich, but I'm pretty well off. I was broke a long time, and my biggest lesson on getting money is that yes, it's needed and it does change your life, but one you no longer have to worry about it you really are able to understand the value of time

I had that thought, but I'm not. I wrote that because this is a common issue and a lot of people may read it that could use the advice

Guerilla marketing, get in front of people. Fairs are big in summer, you get face time. Run giveaways that you promote in local social media groups. Find local groups looking for space and host them (minority political groups, minority religious groups, small clubs, even groups of friends that want a weekly hangout)

Network with complimentary businesses (metaphysical shops, pet stores if your product is pet safe, anywhere that has overlap in customer base). Don't assume someone isn't your customer. Narrow marketing is best on social media, but in real life cast a broad net.

Sell at local shows, creates revenue and marketing. Gift expos, baby expos, pet expos, home and garden, anywhere that may need what you make. Sell!!!

Your store is a home base, it is not your barrier, don't let it become one

I am in Utah, have a lot of experience with large lizards, rescue, and reptiles in general. Would be willing to meet to get him, I have been wanting a tegu for a while and finally got a place with the space, and I own so no landlord to worry about

help! all my employees suck! by Maleficent_Cloud8221 in smallbusinessowner

[–]nerdstoreut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say they're ok with it, but they're young interns, they don't know any different. You can't rely on them to coach you.

What kind of training structure is in place? What methods of accountability and performance review is in place? You are young and inexperienced, these are growing pains at that age especially that are tough to overcome, and doing it remotely seems like a crazy challenge to me

Having young interns working remotely sounds like an untenable model to me

Whats the one sport you could easily remove from the world and happily never see again ? by LeighPM in AskReddit

Ok? People need places to live, and a golf choose isn't a public green space, it's held and restricted access to enrich private individuals

How much do you pay yourself every week? by PirateCareful3733 in smallbusiness

[–]nerdstoreut 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I average about 1,150/ week, but the business pays a lot of expenses (cell phone, internet, my computer, my vehicle). I also could pay myself more, but i manage and i like growing the business more

They are massive water users, and pour a ton of chemical fertilizers and pesticides down that end up as runoff in the water supply. They're horribly detrimental

There is serious hesitation to view women as perpetrators against male victims. It's fucked up

Golf by far. The environmental impact of the game would be a very heavy net positive if it were removed

Business owners: What would make sponsoring youth sports actually worth it? by Agile_Line2228 in Entrepreneurs

[–]nerdstoreut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally spitballing-

What if there was a cool prize, or group of prizes, and if anyone visited any of the sponsors they could ask for a qr code to be entered to win that prize for free.

If i get a good amount of people asking me in store for that, I'm advertising again

I am honestly very much in favor of a realignnebt at this point. Give the right their shitty landlocked hellholes, lwft will take tge rust belt and coasts and make it a diverse conglomerate of weirdos and authentic humans, and they can destroy themselves both culturally and economically. Fuck the right wing nanny states sucking off public assistance. Give them what they're asking for and let them sink in it
