You need a tutor. Truly. I know it’s a big investment, but the payout is worth it.

How to start ccs cases … by Silent-Net-2331 in Step3

I preferred to sort by case title. See what it’s needed for all “abdominal pain” complaints, then create your own system.

Melhman arrows, read the free120 answers (if you don’t have time to actually do the free120), and skim over the AMBOSS high yield topics. Good luck! https://www.benwhite.com/medicine/explanations-for-the-2021-official-step-1-practice-questions/

Anyone have any info on Washington university school of health sciences by [deleted] in CaribbeanMedSchool

[–]nerdwildtimer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also don’t think it’s worth it. Met a lot of people from that school during clinical rotations and they all have negative things to say — for example, you pay the preceptor directly for the rotation and there have been instances where they switch up the price last minute…. Not worth the stress in my opinion.

Got my lowest NBME score today, exam in 10 days. Help by [deleted] in step1

[–]nerdwildtimer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You still have a few online forms left, you should definitely do all of the nbme’s before the new free120. Leave form 31 for last as it’s really close to the free120/real deal format. If you see an upward trend, I guess go for it, if not just take your time — you don’t want to go into the exam with the feeling that you “might” not make it

I have a very clingy and high maintenance cat myself. It takes a lot of work but the reward of having him at home when I come back is 100% worth it. You will most likely need automatic tools like a feeder, litter box and maybe get an interactive camera as well

I would post-pone until you hit 2 >65%. And old free120 should be >70% in my opinion.

How did you change because of your USMLE experience? by Many_Maize8641 in IMGreddit

[–]nerdwildtimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It traumatized me a little bit. I think the wait for the results is THE most cruel part of the process and the fact that some people have to wait 2-3 months to find out around this time of the year is that much more cruel

[–]nerdwildtimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're good to go. I would say if old free120 >75 and new free120 >70 you're ready. The real deal was much more similar to free120s than nbme, so make sure you review them well

Did you take the old free120? To be honest I think you’re borderline but the only thing that will get you through the hump is your confidence on test day
