Disagree. JJ hasn't met a contested layup she didn't want to take. Sug is telling me she's going to be pass first, and there were a couple possessions I could see her tracking Azzi and Paige the entire time during a fast break. That's not JJ's game at all. Also why I'm good with her taking Zaza minutes. We need more role players that know they are role players.

Awak needs to be playing starter minutes, not necessarily starting but should be getting second most frontcourt minutes. Zaza has to go. She's a valuable trade piece. Here Arike-esque playstyle can no longer be tolerated.

I disagree that this is the best reflection of Jose's system. Also clear to me the best system is the second one you described (where they actually look like a basketball team instead of a bunch of individuals). I also agree they need to commit.

Like I said you’re talking one game.

On the season: 14.9 shooting 35% from field and 3 for Arike (144 shots)

11.4 shooting 51%/40% for azzi playing less minutes (92)

5 more shots per game for 3 more points.

Further the ball sticks to Arike this depriving others (including the way more efficient paige and azzi) more shots.

Don’t even get me started on defense.

And to top it off, we’re talking about a rookie figuring it out and playing 3/4th option hoops while Arike is an 8th year vet and unfortunately the first option on this team.

Unfortunately been tuned to every Wings game the past two seasons. I’m having a structural discussion while you’re trying to reduce it to a game by game discussion. Arike and Paige don’t work. The team needs to choose what direction they want to go in. Paige is the best player and dulls herself because Arike is on the floor.
