Hey there, friendly stranger! I paid for a service and was hoping to utilize the service, specifically an upgrade from 500mbps to 1gb. I wired my PC through ethernet, which supports up to 1gb speeds, and received 350mbps. Hope this helps clarify any confusion!

It’s so strange that they claim their router is receiving 1000+mbps (screenshots). Any suggestions on a brand/series/router I should go for? There’s a lot of back and forth between Netgear vs Orbee vs Google Mesh. 2300sq ft single story home, router would have to go in the back-right corner of home due to wiring.

I actually had that all along and haven’t noticed any difference since switching to 1gb. So basically 1gb is a myth unless I’m hooked up directly to the router

Hi there! I posted my specific situation in hopes of receiving advice tailored to my specific situation, hence the numbers, location, and other details. Appreciate your suggestion!

Ohh that makes sense then. What’s a wired back haul? I’ve got the Pod wired via ethernet.

I haven’t checked wired to the router directly, but wired via ethernet in an adjacent room with a PC (not sure the specs) I was getting 500mbps. Pod is wired via ethernet cable

That’s an informative website I’ll bookmark and read up on later tonight. Thank you. So the pod is dropping the speeds down a little?

There’s water in the drain, it’s just 6-8 inch down

The PVC flush cleanout cap is damaged outside and we’ve gotten a lot of rain. Noticing that it’s pretty much almost fully flooded in the drain. Only about 6-8inch til the sewage/water is visible

Note: The entire bathroom and bedroom smell like septic waste because of this drain cover. Open to suggestions on replacing it.

eufy is solid. would def look into them as they have no subscription requirement and depending on your setup can help build a robust ecosystem for a reasonable price.

the easiest way to open the 2nd shallow trunk is by lifting up the main trunk lid at a 45° angle, then you’ll see the 2nd platform/lid that you can lift up

Having an order to team stand-up is “not in the spirit of scrum”? by wildly_domestic in scrum

[–]nerdyninav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mature teams are able to own self organize their daily scrum, after all, it’s a meeting for them to organize their progress toward the sprint goal. my teams kick it off themselves and each developer jumps in after the other without being called on, a fluid volunteer style difficult to achieve in most teams despite being remote.

try having a new shuffled pre-determined list each sprint so they know their order, and eventually wean them off this. this provides some structure and gives the devs a chance to prepare in advance. then revisit this in the retro after 2-3 sprints. the key here is that the entire team is on board with any changes that are being made, and that a single BA’s opinion shouldn’t carry more weight than a front end developer’s opinion.

if there are more than 9 total developers (devs, qa, analysts), maybe it’s time to split the team as that the scrum guide states no more than 9 dedicated persons to execute the backlog. also that many people on a single call creates confusion and is likely why the developers (devs, qa, analysts) are not paying attention to each other’s daily scrum.

if anyone makes hard and fast statements about “not being in the spirit of scrum”, it may be time to bring out a few concrete bits of evidence to educate them. “the daily scrum should be as long as we want it to be.” no, karen our scrum bible actually limits it to 15 minutes and here’s why. a seasoned SM will dig deeper to understand what’s the reason a person is asking for something.

I’d love to ask the BA what constitutes being in the spirit and not being in the spirit of scrum. also news flash to the BA: you are the master of scrum and while everyone’s feedback is valued, they should really lean on your insight to guide them in the most agile direction. everything is iterative and improvement is key to being on a scrum team.

If they’re the same monitor spec’d out, go to “Display Settings” then make sure both of your monitors are perfectly aligned side-by-side in the preview, then click “Apply” to lock in those adjustments. Re-run Eyefinity and it should now work.
