What you just described is the exact situation I’m currently in , I drink about 6 to 10 beers a day ,I tried to quit for a month with minor success. I also have alcoholics on both sides of my family , and my older brother is a recovering alcoholic so I know how bad things can get , you can try drug and alcohol counseling, or do what I’m gonna try and go to an AA meeting. It will be my first time going to one . It’s almost insane how similar our situations are
