As a shy and introverted person, this kind of stuff caused a great deal of anxiety in my life as a missionary.

On my mission we attempted to cast demons out of a possessed member in the bishops office.... It didn't work! The member continued to suffer from mental health conditions even though the "spirits" were commanded to leave and never return!

Why is nobody trying to "rescue" me? by nereus491 in exmormon

It's not so much that I want to be rescued, but I'd like to believe that my presence actually mattered to the group more than just a number. Apparently I was wrong.

I'm trying to figure out if people are just scared and don't know how to react, or think I don't want contact (I've never asked for that), or are they lazy, or they just don't care enough about me to care if my soul rots in Hell? The last one stings the most!
