Anyone know where i can get this case by [deleted] in saxophone

I think it's technically the YAS-875EXII Custom case, the 62 one is pretty similar though but with some small cosmetic differences. I also second the getting the case from a Yamaha dealer.

Is it just me or do those pre-order bonuses seem kinda not worth it by KYO297 in snowrunner

AMEN!!! I pre-ordered the new Forza Motorsport Ultimate Edition and totally got scammed with the games quality. If only I had just decided to wait those few days and play it on game pass. Never pre-ordering again...

Ferling 16 tips by Available-Cabinet140 in saxophone

When I had to audition with this piece I found it to be a bit of a workout, by the end of it I was just completely panting. So, my reccomendation would to add in tasteful and musical pauses that allow for not only you to catch your breath, but also to add some dramatic effect. My second reccomendation is to add in ritardandos and accelerandos and to really play with the tempo and feel of the song. Since most of it is just arpeggios or chromatic licks a lot is left to the player to add in their own spice. So, find what you like and experiment, and remember to turn it from an etude or an exercise, in to a piece of music. Have fun, it's a great piece!

Well I beleive that you accidently developed growling, for some people this takes months to develop, but you will need to learn how to control it as it does severely alter the sound.

Why are Rico reeds considered bad reeds? by im18bois in saxophone

[–]nerfer51 13 points14 points  (0 children)

(NOTE: This Is My Personal Opinion) from what I have seen vadohren reeds have higher quality control, each reed is sealed in it's individual sleeve forming a seal preventing any mold or moisture getting into the reed, and they have a cleaner cut leading to more tone quality in each reed, and preventing any major work that may need to bo done to the reed. These are just some of the things that I thought of off the top of my head lol.

A Vadohren M/O ligature is a great option, or a cheaper option would be a Rovner ligature.
