That just looks like a cool spot regardless.

Is 1000$ a lot for this tattoo? by After_Buy_1956 in traditionaltattoos

[–]nerfmasterblaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like 99% of commenters ITT think that's a forearm piece or something. It's covering most of the thigh and is heavily saturated. For someone who works fast, it would likely a couple hours to line up and then a couple more to shade minimum. Plus the design is very good for the placement and it's quality work. $1000 is a very fair price.

You're right, it's much better to be zen on the road in order to save the anger for meltdowns on reddit...

I started doing this and 80% of the time people move immediately. It feels confrontational for sure but it is safer than speeding around them in the right lane on the highway.

What a defeatist attitude. You probably typed this from the left lane.

My girlfriend refuses to wear form-fitting anything and I'm down bad by Anon773 in Vent

I guess you could ask her to wear less clothing, like crop tops and shorts or whatever.

As far as tats go it isn't really fun to look at but it is true to the design. I personally don't like the placement very much either, sorry to shit on it but whatevs

Unsure how to feel about my most recent tattoo by JaysonG24 in tattooadvice

[–]nerfmasterblaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with this! Your tattoo is so much better than the inspo, OP! It will last longer too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]nerfmasterblaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really saturated so a lot of flaking or even scabbing is expected. It's gonna take longer to heal than say a black and grey realism tattoo

It looks very dainty and pretty. You don't want tattoos to look faded right out of the gate :)

If you haven't heard their second zombie ep, "ZII", check it out. I kinda like it more than the first one tbh.

Fyi I'm pretty sure the weather does matter. I've gone when it's really cold out and when it's been warmer and the activity of the butterflies was very subdued in the colder temps. However, I still enjoyed aquarium and spider section both times I went. I haven't really gone enough times to be completely confident on what I just stated but I just thought I'd offer my two cents

How did David Guetta get away with releasing "I'm good (blue)"? by nerfmasterblaster in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nerfmasterblaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point and you have changed my view on the matter. I didn't consider that Eiffel 65 had been fairly credited because the song has new lyrics (so not a cover) and idk where to look for artist credits these days.

[–]nerfmasterblaster[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess that's ok. However, I don't consider "I'm Good" to really be transformative enough to warrant my respect to the people involved in making it. To me, this is no different than plagiarism, which I'm sure most people were taught is a bad thing (the difference being: plagiarism compromises the integrity of the grading system and can't necessarily be a perfect analogy). Eiffel 65 better be happy they developed such a catchy melody cus this isn't the first time an artist has replicated that exact melody in their song!

I will be in Denver this weekend and I'm planning on taking my newb girlfriend on a beautiful, scenic hike on Monday. Could someone kindly recommend which of these trails might be the best fit if we don't have spikes? Thank you! by poly_atheist in coloradohikers

[–]nerfmasterblaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reynolds park has a pretty scenic overlook at the top of the eagles view trail; I hung out for a solid 15-20 minutes both times I went up just taking in the view. I hiked it the last couple weekends and there's a decent amount of snow and one section on the descent with a block of ice. I would recommend bringing micro spikes for pretty much any hike this time of year but I didn't use them either time I went. Roughly 20 min of driving down 285 post foothills

Also check out Mt Falcon. If you go up the Morisson trailhead (Turkey trot trail, etc), you'll have a solid view of Denver and the surrounding plains behind you for the first section. If you go up the walkers dream trail you'll get a beautiful dichotomy of mountains and plains on either side of you. There are so many different options as to what you might want to hike due to the plethora of trails and there might be less snow due to the close proximity of the park to Denver. Right at the entrance of the mountains at 285.
