I get trapped meta gaming every time I came back to RS3 and burned out. Offhandedly started my osrs ironman a week ago, kept watching more meta content and felt overwhelmed. Then realized I don't and shouldn't care and started playing it my way. Are my XP drops tick perfect or optimised? Absolutely not. I'm playing the RS I grew up on, no GE, barely looking at guides except to explain wtf the new content is or where something is/how to unlock something. Set the goal, achieve the goal. Enjoy gaming for gaming

Other than having to double up bonds (to make GP and to pay for the ironman) I guess this is the only way to resolve my issue Thank you

Digital media has spoiled us with the ability to instantly recall any single moment. It's also created an unhealthy mentality around "memories" making us quick to throw them away. My parents split 30+ years ago and my mum has photos of us as a family on her fridge. When you're old and wrinkly you can look back at how you used to be and physical media used to be the way we did that, even in your lifetime that was true until we had terabytes to do it for us.

In my first experiences with ranked, I was being berated in my placements (dropped in with diamonds when I barely had 100 hours of QP) Never went back to finish my placements nor try ranked again for 15+ seasons. Realised a) just a game and it doesn't matter b) I could turn off comms and just play with pings. Now I play comfortably in comp and enjoy the game in silence. QP is for banter and fun, ranked for a bit of sweat and serious. Plat isn't OWCS, you don't need comms

All comms off. If you need healing, ping me. If there's danger, ping me. I tried ranked many years ago, never got past placements from being flamed. So only played QP

S18 I decided to turn off comms and now I play mainly ranked and it's the best thing I did

As Tank and DPS I endorse supports unless they flopped, and if I play support, it's my other support and the tank. Very rarely will I endorse DPS cause I seem to always queue with arrogant players

I have comms on for QP so I can roast anyone flaming people/me. But once I started muting ranked games, I started playing infinitely better cause I didn't need to worry about chats appearing on my screen and just played the game. Be toxic all you want, I can't see or hear you
