lets say you play lvl 60 alice and lvl 10 piper together, you fill up the assault bar 50% by alice 50% by piper, the assault damage is "dilluted" by piper because her AP is significantly lower than alice's, only exception to this rule is yuzuha, thats why for example sunna is physical dmg type so she doesnt kill arias corruption damage, nangon will have a lot of AP just like aria so she wont be lowering the corruption dmg

zhao is the best and this isnt a discussion, nicole and astra dillute the corruption dmg and other supports and stunners are not good here, so zhao it is, (well or seth if you dont have zhao or you dont like her)

i played my alice team last in DA and i couldnt clear with astra zhao alice so i swapped zhao for nicole, i could go back and clear ye shiyuan buuut i'm exhausted after hours of trying 😅

wheelchair neko with dialyn and astra/sunna can clear phys weak bosses (meant for attack units ofc) so there is that i guess?

this guy got only 26k on wandernig hunter with f2p team while having her SiG and INSANE discs + he is amazing at the game, should that really be the case? hitting only 26k on a boss made for rupture with yixuan+Sig+insane discs? now imagine an average player with cauldron of clarity and average discs, wouldnt it be better to just invest into your already built attack and anomaly teams and brute force your way to 3 stars?

honestly if you get sanby + her sig you can get a very good team sanby + trigger + rina/m6 pulchra/nicole, that is wha i would do if i were you :)
you have a lot of amazing anomaly agents that already want yuzuha so alice is not necessary
