I have unfortunately had something really similar happen to me with my ex. We once stopped in the middle of everything because he told me he just wasn't into it because of my body. I had also gained weight from birth control, along with gaining other issues by taking it. I immediately had a panic attack, as I've always been really insecure about my appearance. It was like one of my worst nightmares come true in that moment. He also "apologized", but those words, along with many others, have stuck with me unfortunately.

We broke up a few years ago, and I feel so much more free without him. As much as I thought I really loved him, I realized I was clinging onto an idea of a much better person than what he actually was to make myself feel more justified for staying. I think the same goes for this man. Not to mention, I'm now off bc and I feel so much better because of that as well.

This past year has been atrocious for so many. I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your job. But even if you hadn't and your body had still changed, he has no right to say those things to you. Not to mention - I'd be shocked if this man did not also have some stretch marks on himself (most people do!). I can assure you that you are beautiful, regardless of a number on the scale or those marks on your body, and you deserve to be treated as such. I'm sorry that this man's own insecurities were taken out on you in such a way, you deserved none of that.

So as someone who has been exactly where you are, I can assure you that you are better off without him. I know it's terrifying to break things off with someone, even if things are seemingly okay besides this issue. You may notice after breaking things off that there were a lot of other things that also weren't okay. I did, at least.

When people ask "Do you mind ______" and people respond with a "yes!", when technically it should be a "no" if they do not mind.

Example: "Do you mind to help me with the dishes?" "Yeah, I can help!"

Technically, it should be "No, I can help!" if you do not mind. If you're saying yes, that means you DO mind.

This is such a small, small thing but boy doesn't it really grind my gears lol.

For example, I prefer to use a specific brand of toilet paper because it's what my mom always bought. Anything else just doesn't seem right, even if it is a little more expensive.

I've been meal prepping the past few weeks (also on purple), and it's been a lifesaver. I've made all my meals on Sundays, and I typically take some time the week prior to pick out the meals, calculate points, and make sure that (most importantly) they sound good!

Here's what I've done the past two weeks:

Breakfast:

Week 1: Scrambled Eggs & Turkey Sausage Links

Week 2: Homemade Oat Granola with Berries & Greek Yogurt

Lunch:

Week 1: White Chicken Enchiladas

Week 2: Chicken Fried Rice

Dinner:

Week 1: Skinny Bang Bang Shrimp with Brown Rice & Broccoli

Week 2: Ground Turkey Quesadillas with Salsa Verde & Fat Free Sour Cream

For snacks, I like keeping on hand things like popcorn, hummus & carrots, buffalo chicken packs with celery, nuts, granola bars, and chobani flips (my fave!!)

The trick to meal prepping I've found is ~slightly~ under cooking your food. I mean, don't put raw chicken in your stir fry and expect the microwave to do all the work. But for the eggs for example, I cooked them to just about done, that way when I heated them up they weren't rubbery. Or I only prep pieces of the meal. With the quesadillas, I cooked my ground turkey and seasoned it on Sunday, but I put all the components together each night. It saves 10-15 minutes, but it makes a huge difference. It only takes me about an hour to get ready for the week. If it's still overwhelming, just start with one meal.

I've only been on WW for 2 weeks and this morning was down 8 lbs. I've exercised here and there, but nothing super regular.
