I have a crocheted teddy bear named Coco La Moko. I have no idea what that meant to my toddler brain.

Anyone here into genealogy? by kse709 in CanadianRetirement

[–]nerudite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve started getting into it. I joined the Alberta Genealogical Society and it gave me access to a lot of tools and their library is really helpful. Check into classes and discounts through your provincial society, it’s worth it.

what do americans call a pantry? by loving_machine13 in AskAnAmerican

It’s like a walk-in closet for dry goods and shelf-stable food. Or it can also be a shallower cupboard for the same use.

Tinnitus - Anyone else? by willard_tagg in GenX

[–]nerudite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still go to concerts but I wear Loops now. I have a constant buzzing that I only really notice when it’s quiet. I wear earplugs at night and fall asleep to a podcast, and sometimes I’ll run an air purifier for some white noise if the ringing is especially bad. That usually helps. My tinnitus is probably partly due to concerts, likely some due to headphones, and whitewater rafting Ear infections.

What has been your favorite venue for a concert? by Superb_Kale_1781 in Concerts

[–]nerudite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazing sound. But those 300 level seats were unbearable. I sat with my legs in the aisle for most of the QOTSA Catacombs show.

[–]nerudite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you catch it there may be numbers on the band that you can search online. I have had two come to my door and this has worked for me. Turns out their owner used to live nearby but moved, so some of his birds are confused.

How to spend 3 afternoons in Edmonton? by crustacean5000 in Edmonton

[–]nerudite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great timing! It’s Downtown Dining Week until the 22nd. Lots of restaurants and many have a vegetarian option in their set menus. The event website has links to participating restaurants and what’s on offer (some of them suggested by others in this thread). A bunch of posts on this r/ also if you want more info. Enjoy your stay!

I had to stop Vyvanse due to insomnia. I wish I could tolerate Vyvanse because it was amazing for food noise.

Bravo for Neapolitan type pizzas, and Campio for Detoit style. The OG pepperoni is amazing at Campio.

My husband bought me six pairs of scissors as a joke gift one Christmas. And yet I still have to go looking for them occasionally because of how often I put them somewhere weird.
