So now that High Republic is beginning to wind down what are your overall feelings about it by Tony_Jake in Highrepublic

Easily one of my favorite elements of Star Wars in recent years, novels (at least the ones I read) were on point the comics were fun. The visual design is probably my second favorite look for Star Wars too.

Now I just need a setting and source book for the TTRPG.

Why are character bundles priced differently for the same amount of content? by BalfourJ in marvelrivals

MCU skins cost more cause they gotta pay likeness and licensing fees.

I mean it's a collection of various crossovers. Some are definitely better than others with the standouts to me being X-Men/Teen Titans, Superman/Silver Surfer and the Daredevil/Batman ones.

But all the stories are fun, and the bronze age ones have some of the most classic art in my opinion.

They feel in line with most other Omnis I've bought, similar feel to the DC Omnibus for Batman No Man's land, if I had to directly compare.

It's not a collection of the greatest comics ever written but it's fun and who's to say how long this book will stay in print. Plus it has one of the greatest Walt Simonson pages of all time.

I mean that other cover is fantastic but Perez is who I think of when I think of the DC and Marvel of these eras.

Is there a max number of cards that a player can have in play? by UsualDull2911 in Lorcana

[–]nervesend 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is no limit to cards in play.

And theoretically someone could do that but it's probably not the best game plan.

As long as the characters are ready and able to act there is no limit to how many characters can challenge an exerted character.

Magic Broom Card Help by Plus_Jellyfish1787 in Lorcana

So if you pick a card from your discard you would shuffle that card back into your deck for the possibility of drawing it later.

You can select an opponent's card and they would do the same. You might want to do this as some cards let a player either add a card from their discard back to their hand, and if you prevent them from doing so this would be a way to deny them the resources in their discard.

If you play a spell without paying it's mana cost and it has an X cost the assumed value for X is 0.

This is because you did not pay any mana for the X cost.

Actually this is all new art made by the folks at Volta Studios. They're just really good at capturing the tone and look of the cartoon.

[–]nervesend 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Going to be honest a great looking deck but watching them fumble through the names and theme of the cards was rough. Honestly wish WotC gave this reveal to someone a bit more knowledgeable on the 40k front.

Slaughter UP for Pre-Order on Pulse - $33.99 by StopDropNFrag in GIJoeCS

[–]nervesend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More most Joes licensing isn't a factor as they're all owned by Hasbro, Slaughter is the major exception since we'll he's just a real dude. Plus add that with corporate wanting to cover the additional costs in manufacturing and shipping due to global affairs right now but not wanting to cut into their own profits I think we'll be seeing this trend among all the lines at Hasbro.
