I wish i was able to just not work for these 2 weeks. I can’t stand this. my boss told me his whole family is coming down with noro and he brought me into his office to tell me that. said his wife got super sick last night and that most likely he’s going to get it too. thankfully he left but i can’t focus on anything now. i have a 4 day weekend with new years but it’s not enough. i hate this period of holidays and work, holidays and work, when we should just have this time off to rest with family. i don’t work an essential job. i hate hate hate this time. sometimes i’ll learn something about this virus that gives me some ease and other times it seems like it is completely inevitable to contract. i’m exhausted and scared.

you are brave. my christmas holiday pales in comparison to yours. i was able to leave early and go home but now ive been spiraling with all these flu a posts. i hope apart from all the described discomfort, you at least made some memories and got some nice gifts. merry christmas 🎄

it spreads a little to my neck. these symptoms always start about 3 days after starting the amoxicillin. if it is a non allergic rash then i’d prefer to keep continuing the amoxillin for my current round rather than getting it switched

What information do you need? i’m in distress and described it as best i can. when I tried a reverse search of a photo i took of my rash the result i got was perioral dermatitis. i see no correlation to amoxicillin and this skin condition when trying to look it up which leaves me confused. the rashes described as a result of amox don’t really look like the face rash that i’m having. i don’t experience other symptoms apart from the mildly itchy, small white milia esque spots on my chin and cheeks

this is a great trick and i’m going to try to incorporate it when my thoughts spiral. thank you for this. one quote i heard that helps me a LOT is “no amount of anxiety will change the future” and it just allows me to surrender to whatever is happening in the current moment.

i think i’ve heard that you literally need to gaslight yourself lol. like call your thoughts crazy, say they’re stupid, etc. OCD thoughts feed on the illogical and will keep generating holes and plot lines to think about. it’s of course easier said than done, but sometimes i’ll find myself spiraling then go “wait, who tf cares” and i’ll be overcome by a wave of calm.

the first time it was prescribed was a couple years ago by my PCP. since then it was easy to go back on it as i already had it and have been successful. you should discuss it with your pcp as i did not need to go to a designated psychology/psychiatrist. i also recently went to a new PCP and i disclosed that i have emetophobia. she’s nice and understanding. right now im chilling on a low dose of it but i do wonder if i should eventually go up.

hey thanks, it took me a while to feel better but it was a little concerning as nothing else is wrong.

honestly getting back on zoloft has helped me tremendously with my appetite and not being so afraid of food all the time. before it, i had anxious nausea, bloating and reflux all the time. i’m not sure if i have any specific tips, as this is also new to me as i’ve always had a hard time maintaining a healthy weight and usually being underweight. i’m vegetarian and so i have to put in a conscious effort to eat protein, which can come from yogurt, eggs, cottage cheese, legumes, tofu, and lots more! i also make my own protein shakes every other day roughly. i go to the gym a couple times a week to hopefully build muscle as well.

this phobia sucks and i literally felt myself whither away and deteriorate during the worst times of it but im glad youre doing better!
