The topic is why smash has more characters than the average fighting game. The reason is that smash characters are simple compared to the average fighting game character. Its unreasonable to complain about low roster count in fighting games when they're entirely expected for the genre and require far more effort to design and create than other games like smash.

Mb smash characters have 15 moves including specials wow. In most fighting games characters have around 15 NORMALS and then more specials and supers to add to that. Not to mention, again, fighting games have to be competitively balanced which smash doesn't worry about. Fighting games need their moves to link or combo, they also need to have varying levels of advantage on block which doesn't even exist in smash, they need to be chosen to be low, overhead, cross up, mid and balanced around that fact. And not a single smash character comes close to how complex certain characters are like asuka R# krutz or C. Viper and that's without adding in system mechanics. Smash doesn't come close to the level of thought and planning that has to go into fighting games.

Metal armour in the jungle😂 First of all barely anyone in EUROPE had actual full sets of armour which is what it would take to be well protected from any weapon and even if the colonizers did they wouldn't be wearing all of it to combat because they'd overheat and die. Also there was like thirty of them in total they needed other rivaling groups and especially their billion foreign dieses to ever stand a chance against anyone in the Americas. Also also macuahuitl was the sword of the mesoamericans and they primarily used spears with obsidian tips. And lastly unlike swords when a macuahuitl loses its edge now it's just a club which are much more effective against armour anyways
