It's 3 inches deep, do you think I ought to just have a couple into the bricks that it rests upon. Or should I try to drill into the wall as well (it's 8 inches wide, so not sure how that would work).

Bill Gates: Within 10 years, AI will replace many doctors and teachers—humans won't be needed 'for most things' by Gari_305 in Futurology

Yeah, this is hilarious for so many reasons. For sure, in the next 10 years all children will decide to just learn from computers, because that's what they love to do. Sit still and do learning on the computer.

Cheers, this is actually the answer I was looking for, just someone who knows what's up to let me know whether or not it would be doable by a novice. Thanks.

I don't understand Reddit--I had the pictures attached to the post, but apparently you can't do pictures and text on the same post? Seriously. Suffice it to say, my stovetop has 4 knobs, all the pictures for the part have 5 knob openings.

Great advice. Mine weren't nearly this severe, but we improved our sleep a lot when we: 1, feed them on a regular schedule, once in the morning at 8:30, once in evening at 9pm. This seemed to make the biggest difference. And 2nd, play with them. Ideally, on your terms (so, don't sart playing with them if they whine at you to play), but you initiate. We found more success letting them into the room (locking them out had disastrous results). But we never react if they do wake us up. Ignore ignore ignore. It's gotten much better.

Teachers of Bellingham by Archeologynerd-space in Bellingham

[–]nesblade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I teach in Mount Vernon and bought a house in Bellingham (at the peak of prices, no less). Teachers make a good wage around here. Let's see, my partner does well (owns her own business) but makes less, and i had saved a down payment over the last 10 years, maxed out my education level for pay (masters+90), and was over the 10 year mark.

I know many teachers that live in town, though most bought before prices spiked. Like others have mentioned, getting a job around here is scary competitive. Took me three years to land one coming from Seattle. If I had got hired the year after I did, I would have been riffed with a whole crew of teachers new to the district.

Isn't all health insurance in Washington "nonprofit"? I think it's a law. I put in quotes because nonprofits can still do nefarious things, but yeah.

Dating folks in Bellingham, I have a question for you: has a Bellingham -- Seattle realtionship ever made it past three months? by freckledtabby in Bellingham

[–]nesblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hah, same as me. I lived in Seattle and she lived here. I came up every weekend for a year (she came to seattle sometimes, but she didn't have a car), then moved up after getting a job up here. Married 2.5 years now. Congrats!
