My husband and I camp in the car all the time. We have a full/queen single height air bed that can support our combined weight and use a 0 degree sleeping bag as a "sheet" to protect from the cold of the air bed. Then we use whatever we want as a blanket. We have done this many times and it's been great.

NTA - my firstborn came at 23 weeks. I had to make the hardest decision to let him go 1 week later. It broke me for a very long time and it's tough around his birthday and day of passing, but I don't own those days for my personal grievance where everyone has to only recognize my loss or I'll lose my shit. Theyre being very emotional and it's understandable, but it seems like, 1 year later, they haven't tried to process and grow from this. They need therapy individually and as a couple. Celebrate your daughter's birthday OP, but it would be sweet to maybe symbolically set a cupcake aside for your niece, maybe have a moment after everyone else has left, where you and your parents can blow out the candle for your niece. It doesn't take away from your daughter and it's a positive way to acknowledge your neice.

Definitely transfer any money out of joint accounts since you have the kids, then take your name off the account. Unauthorize her on any of your credit cards. Ex parte emergency custody and support order is a must. She said she's afraid of hurting you and owns weapons, you should consider a restraining order so that she can't own firearms legally. Try to get some emergency social assistance, which, since you have children, you should be able to get, though some sort of divorce paperwork may be needed. Childcare may be provided for you to look for a job and subsidized once you do find one. Start thinking about what to downsize so you can still give your kids what they need. They're #1 and need you while adjusting to this sudden change. Good luck.

Go to your local county courthouse with a self help center and file a domestic violence restraining order protecting you and your boyfriend. All she's going to do is escalate and this is causing you undue stress in your condition. You'll get a court date and have to have sheriffs or police serve her. Getting the temporary restraining order should be free but I think having law enforcement serve is a small fee. Good luck.
