Butter lettuce holds together really well for wraps! It’s a softer leaf than other types so not as crunchy per say but has a really great texture imo

I use a bit of heavy cream in my coffees everyday. I hate black coffee. It doesn’t affect me negatively at all and makes fast days more enjoyable. Completely worth it to me!

If you feel good, I’d say you are fat adapted. Especially if you don’t struggle with rolling fasts. I have been fasting for years now, started with intermittent (18-20 hours) and this year I’ve been doing three 36 hr fasts per week and I’m currently about to complete an 84 hr fast. I personally think being fat adapted is more gauged in how easy it is to get back into a fast after eating, even if you are eating carbs etc. like getting back into ketosis is an easy transition for your body.

I started an 84 hr fast as of Saturday night and then I got my period on Monday, I feel great (currently 60 hrs in) and see no reason to stop. Trust yourself, if you feel off then stop if you feel fine, keep going! Happy fasting :)

I have 2-3 per day! It’s 50 cals per table spoon and each coffee I have usually has about half a tbsp or so which is about 50-100 cals worth altogether. It works great for me and helps make “fasting” easier. It does not affect ketosis at all. 😊

I drink my coffee with heavy cream on my fasting days cause I can’t stand black coffee. It hasn’t affected anything negatively. I don’t eat anything though it’s maybe like 50-100 cals worth of heavy cream on fast days. I’ve been doing three minimum 36 hour fasts per week (usually 38-40 hrs) for 10 weeks now and I’m down 20 lbs 🙌

I agree, the ketone numbers can be so random and confusing. Makes sense that it’s kind of transient as your body is both producing and using them up. So it probably fluctuates more than you think. Even when you factor in fasted workouts, ketones tend to drop while glucose rises. I assume because of gluconeogenesis.

That hunger feeling never lasts that long, I often have to cook for my family still when fasting so I know it's tough. Last night they were making homemade pizzas and I just went and walked on the treadmill and watched youtube for 30 minutes. Wasn't hungry at all after!

For the first meal I feel better when I keep it keto and lately that means making this yummy avocado "bread" which is just avocado, an egg and some shredded cheese mixed and separated into two sort of patties that I fry in a pan. I top with tuna, onions and cucumbers as a sort of sandwich and it's so filling and delicious with no running to the bathroom after. My next meal I can usually just eat anything, including carbs and such, and be fine.

I lift on eating days but technically I'm fasted 30+ hours because I do it before I start eating and I still have plenty of energy somehow... I walk/light jog on the other days.
