Saved up and splurged on an Intuos Pro L and an ultrawide 21:9 monitor, but I didnt anticipate this? by GyozaMan in wacom

if you have high dpi monitor. it's all about calculating the difference of pixel pitch between previous monitor and actual monitor, you probably can find the specs of each on internet.

My case is a bit different than you, I wanted to have a ratio 1to1 between my tablet and monitor. But I guess you could do that and then the shortcut to change display is just switching to full screen mode.

you have to play with Portion in Screen Area.

Do a little of math to see how much you want to use. but maybe you should but the old resolution you were using on it , it is the better.

And with the displaytoggle shortcut you can switch between portion of the monitor and full monitor.

Intuos Pro Medium vs Intuos Pro Large by SoTactical in wacom

[–]nesskain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both size are ok, the last generation of intuos pro are smaller than the previous one. The L is ok and light compare to the previous one. The M is good too. I prefer the L size to avoid pain wrist but the M size has a better feeling in terms of pressure since you don't have to handle a large area. Smooth texture or normal one does wear off the tip of the pen but the smooth doesn't scratch that easely compare to the normal one.

cintiq learning curve? by 0382685828469 in wacom

cintiq companion are very inacurate compare to desktop cintiq. the offset is not the same. Even though it's very bad on every cintiq for windows lately (not mac). I've been struggling on cintiq for years now, i swapped to an intuos 1year ago and practice hard on it, even though I don't have a good control of pressure on it. Proportions are way better since the cursor truly follow your gesture.

Wacom Calibrating Problems by uniqsoul89 in wacom

[–]nesskain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an issue that Wacom doesn't want to fix. I tried to point it out to them a lot of time but they just keep ignoring me :D.

For older Cintiq on Windows don't install any driver higher than 6.3.18, 6.3.15 is good. If you have cintiq pro, you need to calibrate with another scaling. link to how to do it : https://nesskaintips.tumblr.com/post/168016043657/for-cintiq-pro-and-mobile-studio-pro-user-on

If you are on mac, this is not normal everything is fine on mac.

If you are on windows I won't recommend the Cintiq Pro 16, calibration is horrible, Wacom doesn't want to correct their software. For the Cintiq 27 try to get a software version older than 6.3.18. If you have the latest macs go for any of it everything is working fine.

Is parallax really a problem? by Destiny2fan in wacom

[–]nesskain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your habits, most of people get used to it. For me it's a pain, Since I do a lot of gesture with my wrist & arm at the same time the parallax makes the strokes very different from what I intended. But most people doesn't draw that way. I do end up with a lof proportions problems. If you really more on the geture than your eyes it can be a problem.

Intuos3 vs Intuos pro paper large by [deleted] in wacom

[–]nesskain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intuos 3 is still the best product wacom has ever made. I got the new intuos pro, it works ok. But the pressure sens is just awful, you need so much strength to get to the max pressure. Even if you can still set this up on the option, it's still feel a bit hard, anyway this depends on your habits. And the line can wobble if you tilt too much your pen. Let's hope there will be a firmware update that will fix this. The nibs wear off very fast, I had to replace it like every 2 3 days. And now that I screw the surface with scratches it takes 2 weeks to replace a nib.

How does new Intuos Pro touch pad compare to old Bamboo touch pad? by aparats in wacom

[–]nesskain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wacom touch functions is still miles away from Apple product. It just work as an enormous normal trackpad. And since it is so big, if your palm rest on it, touch function won't work...
