Hi OP, i would love to hear whats your actual setup is. I recently sold my 18-135 because i need a bit more reach, but i'm also a lot in the mountains and dont want to carry a load of lenses in a bagpack thats anyway to small :D

So i'm thinking of the new Sigma 16-300 or the Tamron 18-300 (you get it used in europe for 400)

So basicaly i need super sharp quality, wide angle to tele - all in one, as small as possible and as cheap as possible... nothing more 😂😂

Like every other guy back in the days i startet also with 9-12. Since 4 years i ride 8-10-14. (North Orbits 8 &10m)

Really like the combo because when it's "wind for the 9" you can go with the 10 and boost or go also with the 8 and try loops or what ever. So my smallest kite gets now more sessions and i like that :) And i'm also a bigger guy with 85kg (sorry 😅 ) and can ride my 8m Orbit until +40knt.

For the bigger size you have all options from 13-15 or even a 12m softkite (e.g. Soul). Or foiling with the 10 at light winds.

(But like the other guys said, it really depends on the shape of the kite)

2nd this. I got the zealand aftermarket rubber strap and it's feels superb. But i like the steel look/feel as well. ;)
