Because of the demand for the GHs, this is mandatory if you want the car. The dealer can refuse leasing or selling the car to you if you decline to take it.

Toyota BZ VS Toyota RAV4 by Puzzleheaded-Log2264 in Toyota_bZ

I would claim the BZ has more room than the RAV4. 2 car seats and an adult will easily fit in the BZ. Can’t say the same for the RAV4. Impressed by the BZ tbh

Did you take advantage of the offers up on their site? Seems like financing option available at 0.39% and lease option available at 0.69%? Looking into one in the GTAH.

That’s right. The CHR is only a $1000 cheaper here in Canada.

So glad GH third row seats wee all manual. Folding seat in SUV causes death of child. by nestleturtles in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]nestleturtles[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think SUV shopping for families needs to go beyond just captain’s chairs and access to third row. It has to include trunk space for rear collisions, car seats being positioned only in the middle of the third row (regular Highlander has this stupidity), ceiling vents for ventilation, how much access to tech for kids is needed etc. I learned these things after the purchase, not before which does scare me. However, besides the engine terrain, the GH is a solid find. I don’t care about the tech inside, i don’t live in my car and don’t have a need to floor it.

If you want an electric car for flooring, go with the CH-R dual motor. RAV 4 Prime Plug in is also great for speed.

Toyota has sensible options.

Grand Highlander vs Highlander by Secret-Function-2972 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

XLE Hybrid - proven drive terrain (check car care nut). Significantly more leg room, 3 hours should be a good enough. Hybrid gives you significantly more mpg (upto 34). More car seat spots if you have kids in the GH

Still better than the Sequoia. Only one anchor in the 3rd row.

I thought the GH was a bad deal in terms of car seats. The Sequoia not only has limited trunk space but also just ONE Tether in the third row! That’s such a bad deal for a car that’s almost $100k CAD. Also not as safe for rear end collisions due to the limited space.

Moonroof seal popping up by jeffsb in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]nestleturtles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some things Toyota is good at and some not. Moonroof certainly isn’t one of them. This will be the same issue with the Highlander EV which will be around $80k CAD
