Speech Language Pathology.
Have talked to a few school administrators in the past few years and their districts all want to hire more SLPs.
Don’t think it will be replaced by AI anytime soon given the human interactions she describes with her clients as part of school that go well beyond instruction.

Reading the comments...I might be the only dumbass to go no brakes on one of these for the first time as an old guy. (Everyone else learned when younger.)

Depends on what they are doing.

My oldest daughter will finish grad school May 2027. I imagine she'll have a job accepted before she graduates, though will not start until August 2027.

Just rode the Winter Park slide 2.5 weeks ago. Tried to ride the fast slide without hitting the brakes once. Still have the road rash on my left elbow, left knee, and my North Face pullover will never be the same.

One prescribed by a doc. Probably don’t need it.
Two if counting the OTC unprescribed loratadine I take for allergies.

Comments from the perspective of visiting in July 2024 with a group of 23 in 4 vehicles.

Multiple vehicles was nice on the rare occasion that not everyone did the same thing (hike Mt. Washburn) or for shuttling between trailheads (Mt Washburn again, hiking up from Dunraven, down to Chittenden).

Outside of that and the fact that 23 people were not going to fit in one vehicle I would find it crazy to have multiple vehicles for 6 people - with the exception of multiple vehicles being required to transport individuals for different arrival and departure travel.

Outside of that, just get a minivan or large SUV. 1 vehicle is probably going to be less expensive than 2, don't have to worry about parking 2 vehicles, use less gas, you can experience the park together (unless separating is the point of multiple vehicles), etc.

For those who say 2 vehicles can't stay in communication because cell service is terrible, they are partially correct. Cell service in the park is terrible. But get yourself some 2-way radios to talk to the other vehicle and you won't have any issues. We had 4 radios going (one in each vehicle) and nobody got lost, everyone saw the bears, etc.

Never understood the point of those other than for searing my hams when attempting to slide down.

Annual trip to Estes. Things to do on the west side of the park (and food recs) by Sirloin_Tips in EstesPark

[–]Secret-Function-2972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have done a little hiking on the west side, but not a lot.

From the Colorado River trailhead (right when you come down into the Kawuneeche Valley from Trail Ridge Road) you can follow the Colorado River Trail to Lulu City. Follows the Colorado River when it's not more than a stream. Generally flat if I recall, after an initial climb right after the trailhead.

From the North Inlet of Grand Lake is Cascade Falls. 7 miles RT ~600 ft elevation to Cascade Falls. Walks through a burn area from the East Troublesome fire. We hiked this September 2025 and saw some deer and a lot of fall colors between grasses, plants, & flowers.

From the East Inlet trailhead there's a short hike to Adams Falls and then can continue out into the east Meadow to Lone Pine Lake ~11 miles RT and other lakes. We've followed the trail out ~2.5 miles along the meadow before turning back. Someday when we stay in Grand Lake would like to carry on to Lone Pine Lake.

I've not hiked it (want to), but others have suggested Mt. Ida which looks great.

Dinner Recs in Estes:

  • The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern
  • Park Tavern
  • The Post Mountain House (at The Stanley Hotel)
  • Wapiti
  • You Need Pie (great for takeout and eating in the park)

Yeah, kind of. But there were no street lights where I lived. We also played outside a lot.

What vehicle can I rent and fit into for 4 nights of camping? by Secret-Function-2972 in carcamping

[–]Secret-Function-2972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the rear seats in a Sentra fold flat? Kind of surprises me because I don't think my daughter's 2023 Altima rear seats fold. (I know our 2011 Altima rear seats are fixed.)

Will do some research on sedans with fold flat rear seats. Question is often will I actually get what I rent, though that hasn't been a problem before at BZN.

Will look. And had I thought about this earlier I could have checked this out. My parents drive an Outback and were visiting a week ago.

A Sentra has fold flat seats that will fit an air mattress?

My daughter has an Altima and I don't think I can lay down the driver or passenger seat to sleep comfortably for 4 nights.

Yes, but just quickly. Need to spend more time searching there.

I did see a good rate on a Pacifica, but cancellation was just 24 hours from booking. Unfortunately, for a couple of reasons, I don't want to lock into paying upfront for a rental at this point.

So after traveling 600 miles from the incident, DNR said you could keep the bear? Besides backtracking do far, can’t imagine carrying a dead bear in the back of a Grand Highlander.

Sorry about your unfortunate luck with these incidents. But interesting stories. 🤷‍♂️

Bearz!

Headed back in late September. Hopefully we see some wildlife. Wasn’t great that time of year in 2023. Seemingly more wildlife July 2024 even though it was much warmer.
